Nope, not healthy at all. If it smells like mildew it is MOLD and it will make you sick. Even if you don't have allergies, it can make you start to have reactions, such as burning eyes, coughing, headache, runny nose and fatigue.
The ONLY solution is to rip the carpet up and throw it away and fix the leak. Let me guess, the building you are in has a flat roof. I got corian countertops in my new house and chose the white seamless sink. Love it! I love the no seam thing! But, aside from that, it is so much easier to keep clean. I hated stainless steel. Ditto on the scratch marks. My white sink (don't know if it is porcelain or not) is easy to keep clean. I will fill with hot water and bleach. Works like a charm. I also make a paste by sprinkling baking soda and then adding a dollop of dish detergent (Dawn, etc) a little water and use a scrub brush to keep clean between bleachings. ... View related article. |

Depends on how they got moldy in the first place. If you left in the washer too long, simply wash again using borax detergent.
If they have actual mold stains on the clothes, then you might consider throwing them away.
There is nothing worse than moldy smelling clothes! Once you put them on your body and your body heat warms them up then they REALLY start to smell. Gives me a headache just thinking about it! (mold is one of my major ashtma/allergy triggers) ... View related article. |
