RE: Growing Tomatoes In Hanging Baskets
I grew the cherry tomatoes and they grew really well in the hanging basket. The next year I tried the bigger tomatoes in the hanging basket the next year and they never produced for me although in the top of the container a bird built a nest! I am thinking I will put cherries tomatoes in there this year. Oh and yes you must have a very sturdy place to hang them. ... View related article.

RE: Turning Grass Yard into Shaded Woodland
I go to yard sales, flea markets and have picked up some great plants real cheap! For privacy around our property I got some fast growing Leyland pines. They are very easy to take care of and grow really fast. We have a arboretum (sp?) that gives some native plants away. Also Lowes stores during there season and at the end of the season they have plants really cheap that they have not taken care of and look terrible! With a little water and patience for the next year they are beautiful again! Good Luck and most of all have fun doing it! ... View related article.

But then those deers are laughing and saying oh boy we will just let them hostas grow a little taller and then eat them! I think the only thing that may work is a 12 foot fence with barbed wire around the top. Just think of what the neighbors would say! LOL! Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Plants That Repel Snakes
The only thing I have ever seen that gets rid of snakes is outside cats. Of course mine have a habit of bringing them to me to show off. I have garter snakes that hang around my pond and they are beneficial so I just watch where I step! ... View related article.
