| RE: Ideas For Old Photos |
|
I've collected old mason jars for a number of years, but never knew what to do with them all. One day I noticed my aunt had hers lined up on a bookcase and had placed old black and white family photos in them for display. They make for a great way to display the old ones and you can change them out when you want, very easily. ... View related article. |

Sounds like one of my mom's 'comfort foods' she made when we were growing up. Only difference is she added a bit of milk and made the sauce a little creamier. ... View related article. |

| RE: Getting Rid of Briers |
|
I know how I got rid of mine wasn't exact the best thing to do for the environment, but....I mixed about a 1/2 bottle of Roundup with the same amound of Diesel and sprayed along my fence line after I cleared back the briar along the line. With the mixture in a sprayer you can control where you spray and it killed it all back and I'm not seeing any regrowth at all. ... View related article. |

| RE: Leftover Perennial Seeds |
|
By all means keep them. I buy a basketfull of seeds at the end of summer and always use them the following spring. When the dollar store is putting out seed packets at 2 cents apiece you can't go wrong. I also dry out my zinnia, cosmos and other assorted blooms when deadheading my flower bed and put the seeds in a plastic container for next year. Just make sure they stay dry (usually a shelf in the garage) and you're good to go next season. ... View related article. |

| RE: Does Anyone Have A Positive Parvo Story? |
I've got a 4yr old/92lb black lab that survived Parvlo when he was about 4mo old. It was a really tough time and he was so sick we thought we would lose him but he's a fighter. As Corrie mentioned the pedialyte keeps then from getting dehydrated and the pills are a joy to get down their throats, but they're worth it all!

| RE: Colorful Perennials In Northern Texas |

Mums are always good. Just be sure and deadhead them after the first bloom and you'll have them blooming again later in the fall. Trim them down to ground level for winter (mayb Jan for our climate) and they come back bigger and full of blooms every year. ... View related article. |

| RE: Tree That Looks Like a Crepe Myrtle |
Holly, It's quite possible it is a crepe myrtle, they are used quite a bit in the DFW area in landscaping. I have several that are 20-25 ft tall in my yard and began shaping them from the bottom when they were young. If you want them that large just be sure and ask they nursery what type they are and what height they'll reach.
