There is a link with your post. Most are using hand sanitizer and or rubbing alcohol with success and some are using nail polish remover. I have used Goop hand cleaner on fresh paint and saved the clothes but I'm not sure it would help an older paint stain. Hope you can save the jersey ... View related article.

RE: Root Beer Stains on Curtains
Make stain remover with 1/2 cup of each of these; Dawn foamy refill, white vinegar and water. I have also used the old Heloise formula; 1/2 cup each of these-ammonia, dish detergent and water with a teaspoon of peroxide. Both are good and the first 1 is as good as oxi clean stain spray. You can put it in an old spray bottle or an old dish detergent bottle. Good luck ... View related article.
