RE: Crockpot Meatballs
I also use frozen meatballs, Italian seasoned. I layer them in a microwave dish to cover the bottom. Then pour spaghetti sauce over them, and heat until completely heated. I serve them with hoagie rolls, for meatball subs. You can also add provolone cheese slices to the sandwiches. This is quick and easy and only 1 pan to wash. ... View related article.

RE: Ideas for Baby's 1st Birthday Party
When my granddaughter Kelsey turned 1 yr old, it was pretty much a straight forward party. Cake, ice cream, punch. Too much more than that is overwhelming for the little ones, especially if nap time falls during the party time.

She had a couple of games, but since the ages of the kids were so varied, it got kinda crazy - with the little ones becoming frustrated. Be careful in selecting games, if you even have any.

My daughter asked me to decorate Kelsey's high chair. It was quick, easy and inexpensive - but looked absolutely darling. What I did was to buy 5 yards of white tulle', and 3' of pink floral ribbon. I did a quick running stitch at the top fold of the tulle' fabric. Then, I gathered it up, so it would fit from side to side, on the high chair tray, and tied it off.

I used a hot glue gun to attach it to the high chair tray. Once it was securely on, I glued on the pink ribbon trim. The 'skirt' was longer than the height of the high chair tray to the floor. We put the chair on the kitchen table, and used a pair of regular scissors to trim the length.

It was awesome! My daughter had so many compliments on how cute and 'girly' it was. It was easy to remove and store away. The hot glue just pulled right off the tray.

RE: Reheating Lasagna
This works for a casual meal. I don't reheat the entire pan. What I do is to take out pieces and put them on each persons plate. Then, I reheat individual plates in the microwave, covered with a microwaveable lid. If the lasagna piece is too wide or thick, I'll cut it in half, so it can heat faster.

RE: Making a Personalized Mobile
Instead of using a wire hanger, I'd pick up a wooden embroidery hoop from a craft store. You can paint the wood to match. You can also get a size that fits your space.

I've seen some mobile's where there's a very large hoop, with smaller hoops hanging below it. All decorated with colored ribbons, and items hung from the ribbons.

RE: Donating Embroidered Crib Blankets
Hi there -

Good for you! I crochet blankets and donate them to my local chapter of Project Linus - www.projectlinus.org. You can go online and check to see if there's a chapter near you.

Besides crocheted blankets, they also accept knit, quilted and sewn blankets in various sizes, for infants to teens. They're given to kids who have been accident and abuse victims, chronically/terminally ill.

Please check them out and again - good for you and keep up the good work! ... View related article.
