A chihuahua stops most of their growing at 6 months old. It may gain a tiny bit after that, but, just in body mass, their stature stops at @ 6 months. Your little guy isn't full bred, I have an old 9.5 pound chihuahua mix with pom. She is really fat. So, you're little guy is a mix, but, he's really really a cute one. ... View related article.
She definitively does not have the min pin head, I have one, and it is a long lean snout, with a small head, I'd say your "min pin" is mixed with either a Rat terrier, or some kind of small terrier, it is a good looking dog though. ... View related article.
I don't know if this may be a problem with your daughter, but, my son did really well at that age on pee pee potty. But, would not poo in potty with out a struggle , fight, books, no matter what. Then come to find out, his bowel movements were so large they were painful, so a wise mother explained this to me, they won't go because of this problem, and to feed him more fiber, juice, fruit, veges, etc. And this really helped. We over came the fear after his bowels got easier to pass. Thought I'd pass the mommy wisdom on to others, hope it helps. ... View related article.
I've read where white vinegar is good for sanitizing, so, I keep a alcohol (90% proof) in one spray bottle, and the white vinegar in the other. My family works in the public, (hospital, and restaurant, and truck driver), I MAKE SURE to sanitize! But, this is also true when any of us go out in public. I read where the most germy place is the handle of a shopping cart. So, we can all track in sickness. When you sanitize handles and door knobs, don't forget to do the handles on the frig, and the button panel on the microwave, and also, sink faucet handles.
Too bad we can't spray the PC keyboard. But, one habit I've had since my kids were little, wash your hands as soon as you come in the door. I also carry a bottle of dry hand sanitizer with me in my purse, (the kind you can use w/o water). My family already knows we will "pass the bottle" when we load in the car a lot of times when we've been in germy places. We are in the ministry, and we love those folks, but, yes, you've got to be careful. My family is rarely sick, Thank the Lord. ... View related article.

She has alot of chihuahua in her that's for sure. And she may have some pom, you can tell with the tail, and also, when they get excited they spin around in a circle. I have a pom/chi mix, and she is getting older, but, still has the curled tail, and spins which comes from the pom side. Chihuahuas are a joy to have, and you have a very cute one! ... With small breeds, I think they get EXTRA lonely, because they are "lap babies". I have small breed dogs. But, my little dog, was so happy when we choose to get another little dog to be a companion. I did get the same breed, and I've tried the same sex, and the opposite sex. I think with girl dogs, they seem "flurty" with a boy dog, so, after awhile, we tried girls. I've had better luck with the companion to a girl, being a girl with chihuahuas. (especially with them getting older, they just grow old and take care of each other together, but, I've had them since they were pups). With small breed boy dogs, they must have a girl, they don't "buddy up with other boy dogs, like the girls do. You may or may not want pups, so, fix accordingly. They love us being around, but, when we're gone, they have each other. Try to get the same age of your dog, or a little younger, so your dog will probably be the "alpha dog". Hope this helps. glinda ... View related article.
My husband worked in wood for 20 years, and he said with the wood shavings idea, you need to beware of what kind of wood you use. Some wood, like Oak, has a lot of acid in it. He said that Walnut would be dangerous to use in your garden when around horses, they eat it, and become ill or die. I know with all the ice storm damage in KY we've got a lot of wood shavings now from cut up damaged trees. So, those folks would know what kind of wood they are using. Do the packaged wood shavings tell what kind of wood it is? Might need to research it first. ... View related article.
