You could invest in small wooden 'medallions' or whatever shapes these wood 'carvings' come in. They are sold in most places that sell home remodeling things; usually is the woodwork sections and have flat surfaces on the back. Stain them to match your cupboard color or maybe even a shade different for contrast. Glue this over the center hole where the knob is now. Then buy new hardware and drill the holes where you like the handles to be. A whole new look! ... View related article. |

The product Quick and Brite is a miracle cleaner. It's safe enough to eat. You can get it at the link above. You rub it full strength into the stain and let it set for awhile. Then start blotting it out. I have used this on several oil, coffee spilled several times on the car carpet, blood all the things that can ruin things. It has even taken out stains that have been washed and dried several times and 'set in'; thought things would always be 'work clothes' It's definitely worth investing in and it goes a long way. The bleach answer is your best bet if it's all surface stuff, but if the smell has gotten into the 'lining' inside there is nothing you can do. We had a nice frigde that somehow got unplugged with a freezer full of meat. I tried everything I could think of to eliminate the smell. I finally called a couple of manufactures and dealers and asked for advice...that's what I was told and they were right. We taped it up and warned the junk guy to open at his own risk. It was bad. ... View related article. |

Try Fabreez for fabric and letting it sit open outside in the sun, maybe keep dryer sheets inside them when storing will help too. You could also try scrubbing it out with lemon juice and letting it sit in the sun. I know what you are talking about with the smell. Had the same prob with one stored in a musty basement. Used lots of Fabreez, eventually the smell was pretty much gone. Good luck ... View related article. |

I'm not sure if the stain would be a protien type like baby doodoo, but years ago to keep the stains out of the cloth white diapers, I would let them soak in a mix of Purex and bleach. Always had nice white diapers no matter how bad they looked going in the pail. Worth a shot. My aunt always kept a bar of Zest soap at her washer for stains and swore by it. She raised 5 active children and their clothes were alway stain free. She would wet the stain and rub the bar into it and then wash as usual. Different ideas, maybe one will help you out.
