RE: Shelf Life of Sour Cream
What ever you do never, ever eat sour cream that has green mold on it, I remember years ago when I thought I would just scoop the mold off and eat the underneath sour cream, well I got the worse case of food poisoning I ever had. Do not take the chance, it just isn't worth it. ... View related article.

RE: Farewell Party Cake for an Irish Priest
You did a fantastic job for a beginner. I myself have been doing cakes since the age of 12, I am 51. You do have talent and the most important is "passion". See if there are any local cake supply stores that offer some classes, I think you would not be sorry!! Happy cake decorating. I am sending a cake I did for my daughters wedding shower, "ball & chain". ... View related article.

RE: Sweet Potato Casserole
My daughter made this about 4 years ago, I just loved it. Now we have this every Thanksgiving. It is worth trying.
I just want to add that the way I cook the sweet potatoes is in the Microwave, poke a few holes and back as you would a reg potato. When cool, peel and mash.

RE: Baby Gift Ideas for a Great Granddaughter
I had 2 showers this spring and I made them each a diaper cake, it was my first time, but they were a huge hit! One was a frog theme for a baby boy and the other was a teddy bear theme for a little girl. I used sleepers, toys homemade soaps and lots of goodies. I used different ribbons to all tie in and topped each cake with a huge stuffed animal. If you want you can stick in gift certificates. Use your imagination. It is fun and a very unique gift.
Have fun. I added a pic of the froggy cake. ... View related article.

RE: Making Homemade Strawberry Pie Filling
What I do is purchase in the fruit section at your grocery store, a bag of strawberry gel like filling, and I cut up strawberries and mix and pour into a baked and cooled pie crust. RE: Walmart Matches Competitor's Ads
I used to take all of the competitor's ads with me. I went through before grocery shopping and made a list, and put what store the sale was from so when I had to show them, I would just know where to find it and what page it was on, it indeed saves big bucks! ... View related article.
