I am not sure about what is wrong but I have a love bird that lives with my female cockatiel and her baby. Both the lovebird and the teil are about 4 months old and the lovebird has started grooming and feeding the teil. The mom doesn't even feed it any longer because it is old enough to eat on its own. Anyhow the funny thing is the teil is so much bigger than Koda that Koda has to climb up the bars to get hight enough to feed her. They apparently can be funny birds. ... View related article.
I think that it is terrible to want to protection train any dog unless it is a police dog. I have two pit bulls and they would happily lay down there life for me or my family in a heartbeat. This breed needs training. I would just get obediance training and that is it. Your dog will love you and want to protect you all by itself just be a smart owner.
