Hi Liz.It may not be the same thing but when one of my cats was very young, he stopped eating and not drinking very much at all, was breathing strangely also. After 3 days I took him to the vet and discovered he had almost swallowed a sewing needle with thread attached. The vet said that Tinka must have started chewing the piece of thread and then got the needle into his mouth, when he tried to get it out, the pointy end of the needle had gone into the roof of his mouth, right at the back. After a very light anesthetic, the sewing needle was removed successfully. My Tinka lived to a ripe old age of 16! Hope this helps, check in your puppy's mouth, even if you can't see anything, take him/her straight to the vet and get checked. Good Luck. Kay from Oz ... View related article.
You are an angel. Amelia is so lucky to get a second chance, many others aren't so fortunate. God Bless You. Kay from NSW, Australia ... View related article.
Hi there Trey. I did it tough as well when we were first married and it certainly is no fun without a washing machine, especially when things aren't fixed for weeks/months at a time. Anyway, my suggestion is, when you have stains, especially food stains, rub in some dish washing liquid and leave it there until you can wash again, that way the stain is getting treated while you are waiting and it will have a better chance of removal...I do this method all the time on stains and it works 99% of the time.
Hopefully by now the Bosch company have come good with replacement parts at no extra cost to you? I would get their email address and send a copy of your email to their PR section and I bet you will get an answer quickly. You could also contact "consumer Affairs" or the "Department of Fair Trading" and see what they have to say (not quite sure what it's called in the USA).
In the meantime, know that there are people out there who appreciate your honesty about certain Companies. Maybe taking the time to tell your story has stopped someone else from making a hasty decision about buying a Bosch washing machine. Thank you and hang in there. If you ever have to leave your cats at a boarding establishment (in case of emergency when you need to be away and there is no-one else to look after your cats), they will not be accepted unless they have had ALL the relevant shots and are up-to-date. That way all the cats are protected, not just yours. Hope this helps, cheers from New South Wales, Australia ... View related article.
Great idea Janet. Very frugal as well. It gets very hot here in Oz in the Summer months, also frosty now that it is winter. Thanks for the idea. ... View related article.
Don't give up hope just yet. Stray cats are very protective of their young and will hide them until it is safe to bring them out. I took in a stray, called her "Hoppit" because she only had 3 and 1/2 legs, the other foot had been caught in a trap some time previous. Somehow she managed to get onto our property, over a very high mesh fence (it keeps the kangaroos out of the garden) and sort refuge with our family of 4 cats. Two weeks later she produced a litter of 8 kittens, approximately 4 weeks old. She had been hiding them in an old pallet of bricks that was behind the garage. It is really strange because they never made a sound, no meowing what-so-ever. I guess they learn from a very young age that it's safer to stay quiet. Good homes were found for all 8 kittens and a friend of mine took Hoppit. Your Rose may still be out there, where ever she is, I pray she is safe from harm, Please let us know if she returns? ... Ingredients: 8 oz butter or margarine 1 good cup (8 oz) castor sugar 4 eggs (only 3 if they are very large) 3 cups (12 oz) self-raising flour 3/4 cup of milk 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Time: 45 mins-1 hour at 350-375 degrees F
Method: Line and butter a deep 8-inch cake tin and set oven temperature at moderate. Cream butter and sugar until light, white and fluffy. Add beaten eggs, beating well after each addition (if it starts seperating just add a spoonfull of the flour and then continue with the next egg). Sift the flour and fold in gently, alternately with the milk. Lastly add vanilla essence. Place mixture into the prepared cake tin, smooth over the top and bake for approx 1 hour or until cooked. The cake should shrink from the sides of the tin when cooked. Cool on a wire rack before icing. Absoloutely yummy and sure beats those packet mixes........Enjoy.....Cheers from Katie in OZ ...
