Hot water causes an expansion & this could b why it helps. Also, when you add hot water to detergent or liquid dish soap, it dissolves the soap really well, cold water doesn't. So between the expansion from the hot water & it dissolving the soap, it probably works by dissolving into the clog & helping it to slip down. Sort of like a greased pig, for want of a better description. ... View related article.
I use to have this problem. I had a lot of locks lying around. They were all master combination locks. I put them in a mailer & sent them to master. They will put the combination on a tag & hook it to the lock. Then they send them back to you. It only costs the postage to send it. They are very nice about it. I even asked them to make some locks, with the combination i asked for. That way I could make them easier to remember. ... View related article.
I love sweet basil. I put it in soups, on potatoes & in vegetables, like carrots. It adds such a great flavor. When I grow it, the plants always produce too much. So any extra, I dry. I cut the leaves & trim what I want to dry. When it' dry, I grind it up in a spice grinder & freeze in seal a meal bags. It lasts a really long time. When they're not growing anymore, then use the frozen. ... View related article.
I've written about this before. Check my old posts. It's from not enough stomach acid. It takes a lot of it to completely dissolve minerals, to get them into solution. Without enough, the minerals just go through. I have experienced this myself. Don't have that problem anymore. There is also a thing about the body, when you have too much minerals, then the body dumps all the minerals, trying to get rid of the excess. But for the most part, it's usually not enough stomach acid (hydrochloric acid). ... View related article.
Check into candida. It's usually the cause of any skin issues, including odor of any area. It's good to find out, cause if you don't address it, candida can cause cancer & many health issues that can make you miserable, even if they don't kill you. ... View related article.
I used to have cats that did that. I took some large rocks & placed them on top of the soil. You don't have to cover every inch, just enough so they have no room to dig. Make sure they are big enough that the cats can't move them. There is enough air space for the plant & the cat can't find room to dig. This worked great. Bricks would work, but the rocks were real nice looking & did the job well. ... View related article.
I've posted this before. You mix, all dry ingredients. 1 part ground red pepper, 1 pt black pepper, 1pt that chunky ground pepper they sprinkle on pizza, then add about 1/3cp dry hot mustard. This usually makes about 3 cups. Then put in an old shaker bottle. Sprinkle around plants & on top of walls & fences. It works amazingly. I water really well & do it. I usually have to redo it every few months. They get use to the peppers being around & don't bother it for awhile.
Don't feel bad & tell your neighbors that when you garden where cats & dogs have used your yard as a toilet, you can get parasites from them. It's a health hazard. I've been treated 2x & it's not fun. You should never have to deal with someone else' pet wastes. I usually warn them if they don't do something about it, what I put down will not be fun for them. It doesn't hurt them, but it does give them something to think & sneeze about. They have very sensitive noses & can smell it from a distance. I have people who use my yard & parkway as their personal toilet for their dogs & it is so unfair. I shouldn't have to clean up & repair or replace my grass or plants cause they behave as if it's their right to ruin my personal property because they are too lazy & irresponsible to respect others rights. ... Don't use anything with petroleum in it. Vick's and Vaseline are petroleum based. It goes into the skin and we have no idea how these things effect our bodies later.
I have found that using white vinegar on skin stops itching and actually helps with dry skin. Most soaps are alkaline and this causes skin to dry out. Vinegar is acidic and it helps to normalize skin's Ph. Put it on like lotion, only after rubbing it in well, have it be still kind of wet and let it air dry. It may itch as it's drying, but when it dries, it will feel better. I have really itch feet from time to time and this works well without hurting in any way. If she takes a bath, you can even put some in the water, most water is a slightly higher Ph than what feels good to our skin.
Try to read all labels of things you put on the skin. So much of what people think of as good for your skin, either seals off the skin from breathing or pollutes the body and cells. The skin is our biggest organ and it's very porous. Also, eating enough fats helps the skin be moist. Essential fatty acids are important, too. ... View related article.
It has always amazed me, how much women pay to slather stuff on the outside of their skin, to keep from having dry skin. t all starts from the inside, not what you put on the outside & if you put something that can damage cells, something that smothers your skin, you could be asking for real trouble. The skin is the biggest organ of the body & extremely porous.
It may be that your particular genetics dictates you need more essential fatty acids (EFA), maybe you need to eat more fatty foods, maybe you've been starving your body of the very fats you need to make all your hormones, I don't know. This fat free world we live in is going to be the death of us. Cholesterol is what our body uses to make every single hormone in the body & when I say hormones, everyone thinks sex hormones. Those are only a small portion of the hormones made that run our bodies.
If you do not consume enough fats for all the places it's needed, the body will starve the areas that are not necessary for life. After all, you don't need supple, smooth skin to maintain body integrity. It's like osteoporosis, the heart & cardiovascular system can't survive without those minerals needed for bones, if there isn't enough or the body isn't making those minerals into bones, then the bones will suffer. You can live with out bone integrity, but the heart can't work or live with out them.
This is the same thing with fats. Starving the body' system of using fats, & something' got to give EFA's are especially important for skin & membranes all over the body. ... View related article.
Witch hazel is a natural thing, but all witch hazel has added alcohol to it. Alcohol is not good stuff to put on your skin. What I use is about a 50% white vinegar & bottled water. Ii put it on with my fingers, spread it around & let dry. I started with a 10% mix & slowly increased it. This tightens pores, disinfects & is a mild alpha hydroxy. This is completely natural. Alcohol is made, not natural & it is very harsh. ... View related article.
