In answer to GlennsMom: A mentally challenged women is a women who was born with some developmental disability due to physical damage to the part of the brain that is responsible for cognition. They are often labeled as mentally retarded, autistic,or have a combination of disabilities (blindness, CP, deafness, etc) that have hampered their ability to learn as the average person learns.
Basically what I was asking for was input from people who had more experience in a variety of red hat groups than I have had. Since the Red Hat Society is made up of women 50 or over, it is exclusively women who attend on a consistent basis. I hope that answers Glenns Moms question. Editor's Note: The text "mentally changed woman" is now corrected to "mentally challenged woman" in this article. I scratched my head a bit on "mentally changed woman" myself. Thanks for the clarification. ... View related article. |
