RE: Recycling Glass Jars

RE: Creating a Budget for Buying a House
Creating a budget...
What I would do, for 1 month write down everything you buy/spend. Bills, eating out, carrying money etc and see where you can and are willing to cut back on and save the difference. fixer uppers have pros and cons. Are you a fixer upper type of person?
Are you looking for a first time home or a place/neighborhood you want to live forever at? If you know exactly what neighborhood you want to live in, go to any open houses in that area and ask the realor lots of questions.
What the average utilities are, city/county taxes, etc.
Then once you have the facts and prices there are first time buyer loans.
Then you might want to look into foreclosure homes. I have my taxes included in my mortgage payment so I dont have to worry about coming up short when its due. ... View related article.

RE: Wedding reception Ideas
You could do what my friend did last year for her wedding. She used plan glass vases and bowls, some she had and some she bought and put colorfully candy in it and then put in a few artifical flowers in the vases. She placed one on each table. Then she used 4 different colors of plates, cups, napkins, table cloths, etc that coordinated with the candy. She strung christmas clear lights up through out the room.
The table where the bride and groom sit at each end was a collage of pictures of them by themselves as kids, and in the middle was their engagement picture in a frame that you can sign.
It was a small wedding and reception so if you are having a bigger wedding you might want to use a guest book for family and friends to sign. ... View related article.

RE: Inexpensive Wedding Tips
For your Thank You cards. Make a sign that says THANK YOU big enough for both of you to hold. Holding the sign take a picture of you in your wedding attire, so when you send out your cards family and friends not only get a thank you, they get a picture of the both of you. And you have something to use at your 50th Anniversary!

RE: Mismatched Sock Solutions
If you have alot, you can cut the sock at the ankle and then cut the tube so it lays flat and sew several together and use them for dusters, to put hot pots on, a baby's spit up rag.
Then take the foot part and put lavender etc in it and sew up and place in drawers or hang in closets. ... View related article.
