I think it would depend on if it has to hold your body weight. Foam floats, but does not hold alot of weight. Paper mache would hold more weight, if you do it thick, and after it is compleatly dry, coat it with a poylerethene, or wax, tar, or any waterproof finish. I would coat it twice, inside and out. You can paint it with an exterior oil base house paint also to get it waterproof (first layer), and to add color of your choice. Make the second layer out of a transparent sealer, once the paint is compleatly dry. Good Luck! Send us a pic when your done! Brenda Chavis ... View related article.

Depends on your taste in decor. If you go to Walmart, or a Dollar Store, and get a large planter pot you like, or use a large wicker basket. Get some of the dried or silk flowers of your choice, and make a really large arrangement. Go high in the center, like sunflowers or gladiolas. You can use dried cattails, or pampas grass for hight also. Put some other flowers and greenery fillers you like so you have color gong down to the container. You can center the tall stuff, or put it to one side, and angle the rest to the container, and trail some down the side. Make it large enough to set on the floor, or a low table, and come up to eye level or taller. Set it so you see it as you turn a corner, or enter the room. It makes a great focal point, if you go big. You can change it with the seasons, or make it to match your room colors. In the kitchen, a large pitcher filled with flowers looks great anywhere. Another idea is using windchimes hung indoors, just out of and next to a regular walkspace, in the room. A large one in a corner looks nice. I knew a lady that had a big carousel horse in her living room. It really was a great focal point. I used a big basket full of cattails and peacock feathers for awhile. I spray painted the wicker basket, for more color. Brenda ... View related article.

This was happening in our area a few years ago. Wasn't a myth!! The Sheriff here put an article in the paper about it. Someone was trying to pull people over, and managed to get a few stopped. They were robbed. The Sheriff's Dept. here said that if you don't have a cell phone, to turn on your 2-way flashers, and drive straight to a police staion, or populated area. ( Like a crowded gas station.) He said you couldn't be charged for not stopping in an isolated area, even if the car is marked. I am in NC. ... View related article.
