RE: Toughest Man in Arizona
You can also check half.com for anyone listing the movie. You can set-up a wishlist, and as soon as it is listed, it will send you a confirmation email. I've check as of 02-22-05 and none was listed. I also checked www.imdb.com and no version of the movie is available. Ebay might be the only way to get a out of print copy - pay heavily of course! ... View related article.

RE: Candle Making Safety
I second the notion that candlemaking is an outdoor activity. When I was twelve, I had some hippies (yes I am that old) show me how to make candles. I had the heat too high, and unknownest to me, putting water on wax isn't the ideal way to put out a fire. It blew like a volcano, I destroyed my mom's nylon curtains and blacked out the walls, etc. I almost burned down my mom's house.

Do indeed the candlemaking outside!!! ... View related article.

RE: A Lunch Bag for Panhandlers
First, DO NOT be discouraged by those who post sour notes here. Giving a lunch FEEDS these people food and refusing to give money will keep them from using it to purchase drugs or other substance abuse items.

Keep up the GOOD DEED! I say go forward, seize the day!!

RE: A Good Person in Need Looking for a Hand up, not a hand-
Save $11,000 Per Year On Prescription Drugs: Drug manufacturers offer a little known program to help those who cannot cover the cost of their prescription drugs. Some have strict eligibility guidelines, while others have pledged to help all those truly in need. A easy resource to locate the correct drug manufacturer and to learn more about the patient assistance program offered, go to the interactive website at www.helpingpatients.org. You can fill out the forms online. Your doctor will be contacted for the prescription, and the medications will be delivered to the doctor's office.

Save $720 A Year On Medicare: Many people do not take advantage of the Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Program which covers the cost of Medicare Part B premiums. There are income limits you must meet. For more information on the program, contact Medicare at 800-MEDICARE; or go to the following website: http://www.medicare.gov/default.asp?. You can also learn about the Medicare Drug Card. The New York Medicare Savings Coalition also has information on how to take advantage of the underutilized program that will cover the Medicare Part B premium. Learn more at http://www.nymedicaresavings.org/.

I just changed computers at work. In about a couple of weeks, my information on how to save even more money on prescriptions will be available to me. Send me an email in a couple of weeks, and I will forward the file to you. I did research on obtaining less costly prescriptions for my mother's meds. I found loads of information. My email address is kelly_cindy (at) smc (dot) edu

RE: Gift Ideas for Someone That is Dying
First, I am sorry to hear about your father - May you and your family find comfort at this time.

My recommendation is for you and your family to record your father's history. Get him to talk about his childhood and experiences. Tape this for your siblings (if any) and for your children (if any). Record his memories and his thoughts. A history of your father will be a great keepsake for the future generations in your family. Talking to the love one that is dying, brings comfort. People have a hard time talking about death - help your father with this, one of the greatest gifts you can give him and yourself. Now is the time to discuss what funeral arrangements will be needed and want his final wishes are to be!

RE: Jars Needed for Gifts-In-A-Jar
I found them at Grocery stores (Albertson's - California), Michaels Craft Stores, and Retail Outlets (surplus outlets) for Pyrex and other glassware companies. We have a lot of outlets in California! I have seen Pyrex outlets in Nevada also!
