RE: Do Grow Lights Require a Special Fixture?
My husband does all his annuals inside every winter -we just bought a grow light bulb at Lowe's and then a contractor's clamp on lamp to put the bulb in to meet the wattage of the bulbs. Then we just clamp them onto the rafters in our basement where he starts the seeds, and they have to be about 12 inches above the plants. ... View related article.

RE: WD-40 and Razor Blade to Clean Shower Doors
I don't know about that WD-40 or the razor blade, both seem unsafe to me. I spray my shower with shower clear stuff I get at the dollar store regularly - and then I have a spray bottle with SKin So Soft and water 2 parts SSS 1 part water and spray that on and let it sit, then walla, a hot water rinse and wash cloth and it's all off. Another thing that works just fine with rust if you have well water is Snow-Bol. I tell you you won't have to scrub period. Try it it's amazing. ... View related article.

RE: Selling Scrapbooking Services
As a scrapbook salesperson I long ago learned to come to terms with cost before the work, but since you did not do that, you need to talk to your friend and discuss what time you put into it and about how much the materials cost you. I would say a 20 page book would go for about $30 myself. That's not much profit for what you did I'm sure, but it's unlikely someone would pay more. Of course you can ask her to evaluate it and come up with an offer, and then learn from that to agree before working. ... View related article.

RE: Buy a Year's Worth of School Supplies in the Fall
Here's what I do - I don't have children but my nieces and nephews do - so all throughout the year when I see school supplies on sale - I buy them and put them in a big covered tub. When each of their little children started kindergarten then I put together a little "school" package for them with all the necessities they might need from their Great Aunt. I try to buy something geared toward each of them so it's personal when it's given. ... View related article.

RE: Bathroom Stains
Find some SNO BOWL - I get it at a store called Family Dollar - Walmart used to sell it but they don't anymore - if it's rust you have on there it will almost disappear by itself with little effort. Let me know if it works for you ... View related article.

RE: Garnishing Disability for Child Support
You don't have to garnish his ss benefits - SS has a child benefit that your child is automatically entitled to - just go to SS with your child's birth certificate, the father's social security number and you can get your child signed up. It doesn't come out of his check it automatically comes from the SS Child benefit -- but if he owes BACK child support you can get that as a garnishment from current wages through a court order. ... RE: Making Pepper Steak
Gee I don't make it like any of those already posted - I merely buy ROUND STEAK, bake it in the oven with some butter (just a pat) and then I boil rice and fry green peppers (cut up) Then I cut up the round steak, mix it in a bowl with rice and peppers, adding some of the juice from the steak, and salt and pepper to taste and that's it! My family LOVES it. ... View related article.
