| RE: Nail Fungus Remedies |

the essential oil: Tea tree oil. 1 tsp of this essential oil disinfects 1 washer load. Put some in some warm water and wash the area with fungus; and I put a teaspoon of the oil in a quart size sprayer and water, and wash the tub, toilet, etc ....this is my disinfectant of choice. I am allergic to most cleaners on the market. I wash my floor with it as well. ... View related article. |

| RE: Hair Coloring Advice |
|
I always did my hair color before I showered and washed my hair as the instructions said (for years) and my hair always came out the color it was supposed to. I shower every day so there was only 1 day build up of the mousse that I use. (I now use aloe for my hair instead of mousse). I would follow the directions...... ... View related article. |

| RE: Granite Tile Counters |
|
Last year we redid our kitchen with cabinets and countertop. I wanted the granite (oh it was soooo beautiful!) but; when the company came out to measure it was found that it would be too heavy for our mobile home. And, that if it cracked there is no warranty. I understand you want tiles so that part may not be a problem; but is your foundation strong enough to have it. I have heard from friends some of their friends have had it go through the floor! I have no idea, of course how much you would need; just be sure you have a sturdy enough foundation for this. I hope you can have it because it is beautiful. I did choose corian and while it is not my first choice; I really do love it and it can be repaired if necessary. Maybe it would be worth it to have some professional come it and determine if the weight would be too much. Best of wishes in your endeavor! ... View related article. |

| RE: Sweet 16 Birthday Ideas |
Hello, I did a party for my granddaughter a few years ago and purchased at the dollar store something that girls MY age use to want at that age. I purchased a gold comb, mirror, brush set for each girl (plastic cheap set) and had my husband be EJ the dj and the girls had to wear bobby sox and a white mens shirt and blue jeans; and ponytails (if their hair was long enough) and I used chiffon ribbon to tie at the pony tails and we danced and had a ball. Maybe this will give you ideas..If you wanted the comb and mirror sets and couldn't find gold; use gold nail polish to coat some inexpensive ones. ... View related article. |

| RE: My Comforter Is Too Short |
|
I did this for my bedroom and will do it again when I change comforters...I bought 3 comforters (on sale for a total of $45 and used one comforter as it was supposed to be (on the bed); and then I cut the bottom 1/3 off another one and hand stitched the cut edges of both. (could machine stitch) and pulled that one over the pillows (my comforters had a ruffled edge and it brought a ruffle up at the pillow. The hand sewn edge at the headboard. The other piece left over was used as an extra blanket to go under the comforter for extra warmth (we live in the Northeast where it is cold). The last comforter was used as follows: I cut the bottom end off and put wide bias tape on the back and used as a valance on my double window. (I have a king size comforter) and the rest was used as an extra blanket. Could be used as curtains if needed. I really love the look. Maybe this will at least give you some ideas. You have the shams; so maybe you could still use them as shams or bureau coverings. ... View related article. |

I would suggest putting a charcoal briquet in a plastice margerine tub (empty of the margerine, of course) with holes in the cover. Do not use the charcoal that has the starter fluid on them. Just plain charcoal briquet. Charcoal briquets also get the musty smell from basements, etc. Just be sure children cannot get at them. ... View related article. |

| RE: Question About Using Vinegar In The Kitchen |
|
Vinegar is a wonderful cleaner; but, there are two options I would suggest. 1st: spray the vinegar on the area that you want and let it sit 5 minutes and wipe that off and then spray hydrogen peroxide and do the same thing. separately sprayed on they kill germs well. mixed together they are not as effective. 2: my recommendation and what I use, I add a tsp of tea tree essential oil to a sprayer bottle of about 1 cup of water. shake each time before you use it. Tea tree oil kills just about everything. Ecoli and salmonella. And it smells clean as well and you only have the one step. ... View related article. |

Hi, my granddaughter (16) has lime green walls, white woodwork, navy wall to wall rug, small rug with raspberry, purple and navy; and white curtains. She has a lime green and white diagonal striped afghan that I made her. It really looks nice....Since you don't know her, I can tell you I got her some light bulbs (4) that turn pink, blue, green and another color alternately as a Christmas present. I think it will really please her. Good luck with your project. ... View related article. |
