RE: How To Make New Year's Decorating Resolutions Come True (On a Budget!)
We just painted over 1970s paneling and also the outdated stained molding. It looks like a million dollars. I also painted my kitchen cabinets in the same trim collar as in our redecorated great room. The inset panels in the door mimic the wall color in the great room. We are so happy with the transformation. Now we are having a new formica countertop and new vinyl flooring put in as well. My husband is so happy with the work we have done so far, he is going to paint the utility room to match the other two rooms and build me a set a cabinets across the end of the utility room over my washer and dryer. I have purchased new chocolate and chamois color curtains for the great room and a beige lace curtain for the kitchen. I am just amazed at the difference it makes. ... View related article.

RE: Last Minute Gift Ideas
I frequent dollar stores and stock up on inexpensive gifts and keep them on hand for when i need a gift. after christmas is also a good time to find toys, toiletries, etc at really good savings. i also give magnetic shopping lists with a matching pen, glycerin soaps, etc. for gifts. they are cheap, but nice for any kind of gift. ... RE: Repairing Particle Board Cabinets
Get a used golf tee from someone and with a tiny bit of glue put it into the hole where the screw came out. Allow it to dry and cut if off flush with the cabinet. Now you can put another screw back into the hole and it will hold. My hubby is a woodworker and this trick works everytime. Kay ... View related article.
