RE: Brainstorm: Creative storage ideas?
Blankets, curtains and sweaters can be stored between your mattress and box springs. All these items are best if stored flat and pressed. They never get lost, are always available and are wrinkle free when needed. ... View related article.

RE: Organizing Your Linens
A top sheet, fitted sheet and pillowcases will all fit nicely inside of one of the pillow cases. Put them all inside the pillow case and fold over the end. Store with flap on bottom. You can see exactly what you have, they stack together like little boxes and do not come apart if knocked off shelf or dropped. Also travels easy when you don't trust hotel sheets. ... RE: Tips for Swallowing Pills
Pills, particually ones that taste awful can be easily swallowed when pushed into a piece of jello gigglers.

The extra thick jello does not fall apart like regular jello, does not need chewed, goes down smoothly and disolves quickly. My doctor said that this method is even acceptable for "empty stomach" medications.

Makes giving children pills a breeze. ... View related article.

RE: Uses for Old Socks
Old socks make the warmest quilts you'll ever have. Use clean, stain free socks to make a patchwork quilt. Just cut out useable portions and sew together until you get the size you want.

This is a wonderful "as you grow" project. Start with your childrens baby socks (or clothes) and each birthday take time (together) to add that years collection to the quilt. Be sure to date each sock with the year. By the time they go off to college or move out on their own, they have a warm quilt and a livetime of wonderful memories of time spent with just you. Add your own socks too, just mark whose is whose.

Add socks from special occations when possible (even if still brand new)

Easy, Easy, Easy, even for people who can not sew. ... View related article.

RE: Uses for Wrapping Paper Rolls of Any Size
Besides being a fun and safe replacement for swords of children, wrapping paper tubes serve as a great disguise for gifts. Roll clothing into long thin rolls and stuff into tubes. Cover with wrapping paper. Can be used to put small gifts in also (like the box in a box thing) The gifts can remain with the rest of the paper and no one will ever know the differance (handy when you do your shopping early and are limited in hiding places)

If using as swords, tightly stuff with news paper or cloth, this will increase play hours and fun for the kids. ... View related article.
