Hi all fellow Frugal Life Lovers! I always have a hundred things on the go, kids grown and gone, and now I am a Grandma! Along with keeping up with my home, mate, Ben the cat, hobbies, world news and all my family, my faith, and my crafts, I still find time to get out dancing, meditate, exercise; not too shabby for an old granny who could just curl up with a good book!
I am a big fan of Stumbleupon, and may see some of you there! It is very beautiful where I live, glorious beaches, mountains, and country living, but the winters are brrrr!!However, with all my brood city dwellers, I can and do have the best of both worlds.
I am quiet, but very friendly, my friends call me laid back, also, a hermit(lol) because I find so many fun things to do I am home most of the time! Love music, cooking, being creative, and hugs and kisses go well with help with the dishes! A friend to all, You can always call on me ; people in need are life's treasures; next to my grandchildren!
Bye for now, and remember, a little love goes a long way; and a lot goes on forever!!
They are truely out of this world; what I noticed most was that the bases were shaped naturally; never thought of that!I started making them when my kids were little and now my son routinely makes one with his kiddies, as doe's my son-in-law; gotta love those traditions!!Happy New Year, 1027 Debbie ... Hi there; here in Nova Scotia, yard art is a very big seller; from cartoon characters, to xmas themes, to animals (wildlife), it is very popular. I do a great many different crafts, the one downfall about the plywood is that you will need to cut it out with a jig-saw. This means strong wrists, lots of room to work, and good aim; this takes practice.
Large wreaths (just a circle really with the form of a simple bow, painted green and drill holes, put a small set of large old fashioned lights in the color of the bow,all around, are so popular, many homes have several in the towns, and fetch 40.00 each; so the answer is yes, and good luck to you! Your best times are xmas, and springtime! Happy New Year! ... View related article.
You can use wine glasses inverted for pillars, tie ribbon around each for pillars, doves on top, most important, use silk flowers, as dainty as you can find, to put around and on your cake! Very easy, and very, very pretty! ... View related article.
I too love old folks, and worked taking care of them for most of my life. All your ideas are great. I was a bit surprised to not see one here, so here it is! You need two washcloths, pretty; lay one atop the other; roll the edges of the first to meet in the middle; then roll the outer edges of the second, to meet these edges; fold in half, putting a bar of soap (if using unscented try glycerin in pretty colors, then fold it up like a satchel; hot glue 2 handles, made of paper twist ribbon, then any pretty decoration;they are very pretty and liven up a bedside table, and get lots of admiration, which gives seniors a chat, too! ... It is just lovely, can't wait to make some!!! But the little problem is, it is hard to tell if the plate, pot, or other things are upside down or right side up! Also, what do u mean by a butter pot? I am sure many other avid crafters are chomping at the bit to find this out!! Please share your expertise, Thanks, Debbie ... View related article.
