You can also pop off the top and replace it again with velcro. The instructions are on the web. Just do a search on fabric sweeper, that is how I found it. ... View related article. |

| RE: Wedding Reception on a Tight Budget |
We had brisket we did ourselves and a turkey. We cooked them in our roasters (my sister helped) then had a couple of side dishes. Others brought some things and it turned out really well.
One thing though. The bride and groom were so busy with their friends they did not get a chance to eat. Before the wedding or before you start people eating. Fix two plates for the bride and groom to take with them where ever they are going. Our daughter commented that they did not even get to taste the food LOL. There was some left also BUT like I said they were busy.
Our granddaughter (brides niece) wanted to give them a toast. She was 15. She had them stand in front of her and she proceeded to say. I don't have any money to give you anything but I wanted to give you a toast. Then she handed them a slice of real toast and told them they had to split it for she only had one piece. It was one of the highlights of the evening. Glitz ... View related article. |

| RE: Melting Plastic Containers |
You can not control the melt of the 2 litre bottles. I work with them all the time melting them and they come out of the oven how they want to come out. I am in the process of publishing a book on the creations I make.
BTW plastics melt at different temps. And so far I have not been able to melt the hard plastic like bleach bottles, ect. I work with all kinds of bottles to create things. I also do some techniques that others have not heard about unless you belong to a group I am on that I have shared with them.
You can melt plastic 2 litre bottles in the oven at 350 I believe (I just set it and pop them in--I never really look, I just let it get hot and then go for it). Glitz ... View related article. |

| RE: Shop for Gifts at the Dollar Store |
My sister and I buy at the $ store and have for many years now. You would be surprised at what you can find there sometimes. Once I got a tiara for all the girls for 99cents. They retailed for $15 from Wilton. Once you have bought your items no one will know where you got them unless you tell them.
It is also a great place to take the kids to buy gifts for people on their list. This is another thing that we have done with our grandkids every since the $ stores came out. And it is a yearly outing for my sister, myself and the kids. They are already asking when do we get to go this year.

| RE: Putting Decals On Wood |
|
A long time ago I read where you apply varnish to your wood and let it dry. They used an iron to soften the varnish for the pic to sink to the bottom of the varnish top of the wood. But given todays tools I think a small heat gun might work better. Try with something that is not good before you try it on a good project. Glitz ... View related article. |

I read on the web the temp is 250 degrees. I want to make mugs, baskets, and shot glasses. The snowflakes sound interesting. You could do just about anything you want like a star maybe (that would take some doing and playing but hey). ... View related article. |
