Hi Tommycat, Do you have your butterfly bush planted in full sun, and in a place where the soil drains well? Another possibility is that you have a male butterfly bush. I don't think they bloom. I think there has to be a female and male butterfly bush growing within a close proximity of each other so the bees can travel to and fro to pollinate them. I don't know for sure.
