I agree.. read Ceasar Milan's book and get the puppy trained immediately! It makes such a huge difference in your life and your dog's. Your puppy is establishing that he is the pack leader because no one yet has set those boundaries. If you can afford it, try to find a trainer who will work with both you and your dog following similar techniques you read in the book. RE: Why do dogs like to roll in dung and dead animals?
My dogs have always done this. My vet tells me we can blame it on their ancestors who, of course lived in the wild and in packs. The habit of rolling in something with a strong odor helps to mask their scent so that other pack animals could not track their scent.
