| RE: Spa Water is Foaming |
|
The foam in your water is likely from deodorant and lotions on your skin. Defoamer is sold at pool/hot tub retailers but you can avoid it by showering quickly before you get in the spa. Change your filters often. Your filters will likely last longer too. Sandy ... View related article. |

| RE: Cleaning Outdoor Furniture Cushions |
I had ourdoor cushions that were black in the creases and had a few stains of unknown origin on them. I was being lazy so I threw them in my washer one at a time with Awesome cleaner. The stains came out, but one of the cushions tore from the stress of the machine. I would do them by hand, whatever you choose to clean them with. Sandy ... View related article. |

| RE: Asking Family To Not Exchange Gifts |
I have a comment about the Chinese Christmas idea. It may be fun to do it this way, except to the person who bought the gift that keeps getting traded for something better. I would think that would cause hurt feelings. The way this could be fun for everyone is if gifts are of the "white elephant" variety. Everyone goes to a charity store and gets the tackiest thing they can find, then it can be repeated with the same items next year. It's a "green" idea as well. One family I know has been trading the same hideous lamp for years. It is now a tradition, their rule is that the lamp must be displayed in the recipients home. It's great for a year round laugh, and a great reminder of the love the family shares. Sandy ... View related article. |

| RE: Product Review: Snuggie |
|
I bought the original blue Snuggie and I washed it. It's been a year and I'm still finding little blue pieces of it stuck to my other clothing. I think they are made with very cheaply made fleece. I wouldn't buy another one. I like the robe idea much better. Sandy ... View related article. |

| RE: Discouraging Cats from Using Neighbor's Yards for Cat Box |
I would go to a dollar store and stock up on cayenne pepper. Sprinkle it where you don't want them to go. You will need to reapply after it rains but they don't like the smell. You can get pretty big jars at the dollar stores so it's not a big expense. Sandy ... View related article. |

| RE: Inexpensive or Free Building Materials |
|
If you have a company near you that sells windows and doors, there is probably a dumpster out back that is filled with the old windows they removed from a job. I know there's one right down the road from me. If you ask they may even give them to you so you don't have to dumpster dive. Sandy ... View related article. |

Victoria's Secret sells a product specifically for lipstick and other oils on lingerie. I think it was $10 but a little goes a long way and it really does work. Sandy ... View related article. |
