My office is the kitchen, I never seem to leave it! I have five kids, from a teenager down to an infant. I don't know what alone time is anymore, and we have three Olde English Bulldogges as well. In my 'spare' time (ha ha) I like to garden, write, bake and enjoy outdoor activiites such as walking and hiking.
Extra virgin organic coconut oil - it's natural, no chemicals, unlike the Johnson's products and baby oil. Plus, it will last a long time, nice scent, too. ... View related article.
It's too late for the neutering to stop the marking, because they've already learned to hike their legs. Neutering needs to be done while the dogs are puppies, when they still crouch. You will have to get rid of the urine scent, keeping in mind that dogs have awesome noses, and it is difficult. ... View related article.
Great article! You can also add a drop or two of tea tree oil for a nice smell and it will cut down on the mold, as will boiling the water first. ... View related article.
This sounds like every breeder's nightmare. It sounds as if you didn't have a contract for the buyer to sign? What are the buyers wanting from you? Their money back? Another puppy? Or are they just informing you? One thing you should do before you give back money or another puppy is get a certified letter from the vet stating that the puppy did indeed have parvo. I'm guessing the buyers didn't take the pup to the vet within 72 hrs (as our contract states) which is too bad for the puppy, and for you. I find it hard to believe they'd wait three weeks before informing you. When one of our female dogs died we called the breeder and informed her, even though it had been three years since we bought the dog.
I don't know much about parvo. Maybe your vet can help you with this. Good luck! Next time you sell pups make sure you have a good contract. ... View related article.
My oven has a convection feature, and here's what I've learned:
*don't use convection for baking--it's too fast and sometimes, particularly with biscuits, the outside will brown too quickly and the inside won't be done.
*It's perfect for potatoes, and most anything you're in a hurry for, such as meat, just watch it closely! ... View related article.

It's the smoking. After someone has smoked for a number of years, mouthwash and toothpaste don't take away the ashtray breath. My husband was a smoker and even when he was breathing through his nose it still smelled bad. The only cure is to quit smoking. ... View related article.
BAby #5 is the only who goes to sleep by himself. All the rest I rocked to sleep and put in bed when I was sure they'd stay. One night baby boy was just crying and crying, and I knew he was tired but didn't know what to do. My husband said to put him in his playpen and see what happens. (duh) Lo and behold he went to sleep right away! So now when he's tired into the playpen he goes. He fusses a little bit and I always check on him, but he goes to sleep on his own now at 6 months. It's nice, but I'm kind of sad about, too.
I don't believe in letting a baby 'cry it out'. I think that's horrible. Take your cues from your baby and don't try to conform him to what you think should happen. Babies are only small for a very short time. ... View related article.
Wow, you obviously haven't had a puppy before! I had 3 pups at the same time, and they weren't trained overnight, that's for sure. I'd take them out regularly to pee, but there were also puppy pads. (they were kept in the kitchen. As they got older we crate trained them, but there were still accidents for one of our dogs until he was around six months old. Hitting your puppy isn't going to do anything except make him fear you. Please stop hitting and get educated about training your puppy. ... View related article.
Try sprinkling cayenne pepper where you don't want the cat to go. Use a LOT, like enough to cover the ground thick. This was the only thing that kept cats from digging in my flowers in CA. Good luck! ... View related article.
