| RE: Digital TV Converter Box Scam |
|
One thing that is unclear about these converter boxes is that you still need a vhf/uhf antenna (an internal one that sits on the TV) because some of the channels are vhf and some are uhf. Those run from about $10 on up to $100 depending upon the type you want. Also, each time the antenna is adjusted, you must re-scan for additional channels and you still may not get the same ones you got before. Hope this helps a little! ... View related article. |

| RE: Treating Fleas On 6 Week Old Puppy |
|
I would think that vinegar would be safer for a puppy that young than anything else. I would put it in a spray bottle and lightly spray it on the puppy but not in his/her face. You could also try using powder of some type which will suffocate the fleas but be careful around the puppy's face. Also, don't use both at the same time unless you want a pasty pup. At that age, it is not a good idea to use flea collars or the hartz flea stuff you put on their back. Good luck. ... View related article. |

| RE: Hair Has No Body After Coloring |
|
I have the same problem when I color my hair but asked the beautician what would help it. He said to add a little baking soda to my shampoo to clean out all the impurities in my hair (medications, gels, hairsprays, etc.) and it would look normal again. I have tried this and it works...I use about 2 tablespoons of baking soda and rub it in the palm of my hand with the shampoo before putting it on my hair. Do not shampoo again after this, just condition (lightly) and it should be ok again. Use it more frequently if it doesn't look right to you - it will not remove the dye. I use this about once a week and shampoo normally the rest of the week. Hope this helps! ... View related article. |

| RE: Keeping Mice Out of My House |
I've set traps, used d-con, and my house smells like a peppermint factory and still the mice are gnawing and chewing in the walls of my mobile home! I am at wits end because it wakes me up in the middle of the night and I am very grumpy when I don't get enough sleep.
I don't have anything against "inhumane" solutions, particularly for mice so any other suggestions would be welcomed. My biggest fear is that these things have multiplied and I will NEVER get rid of them. I am looking for something to spray under the house as well as inside the house to keep them from re-entering. I have been so tempted to use my pepper spray but it would likely hurt me more than them! Please help...I'm desperate. ... View related article. |

| RE: Coffee Stains On Crocheted Tablecloth |

Thank you for all the great tips. I thought about tea-dying (or coffee dying) it after seeing a tip here which is likely what I will end up doing. I had forgotten about Fels Naptha - I used to use it about 25 years ago and it worked great. I'll try that again as well as the biz and clorox II. I'll post later on the results I get. Thanks again! ... View related article. |
