RE: Neighbor's Chickens Coming in Yard
I had chickens that were going into my neighbors yard. There was a problem that no one told me about. I think your best bet would be to just talk to your neighbor. If that doesn't work then go to SPCA, you don't want there to be angst with a neighbor if you could have just talked to them first.

RE: Mold and Mildew Inside of Refrigerator
All you have to do is put a metal bowl inside with boiling water {be careful not to spill it. If you could put some lemon juice that will help. Let it sit {unplugged} for 1/2 an hour w/ door closed.

It will "steam" the inside of the freezer. Now what you do is buy {cheap} paste toothpaste w/whitner. This has bleach in it, use a nail brush or old toothbrush, and work the moldy area's. You can also use this on the rubber seal around the doors {only if white}. After you have washed with the above, make sure you rinse it with some nice warm cloths.

Now if you have a smell which is possible, cut two lemons in quarters, and place in a bowl for atleast a day before turning the freezer on. This can be used either on or off for the fridge. Also if you use freshly ground coffee, place in a cloth napkin and tie a ribbon around it. This also helps take care of odors.

Best of Luck.

RE: Liquid Fabric Softener vs. Dryer Sheets
I personally only use vinegar in my rinse cycle when doing a wash. Sometimes I will use a 1/2 dryer sheet {low scent} when doing towels but it really isn't necessary.

These work great for people who cannot handle strong fragrances, detergents.

Best of Luck

RE: Cleaning Dirty Stovetop Griddle
I just cleaned the vent cover over the oven, and used a trick I learned on a British TV show. Get washing soda {not baking soda} found normally in your laundry isle, near the borax. I put warm water and about a cup of the washing soda, soaked the vent cover, didn't need to scrub at all it came out brand new, actually I don't think it was this clean when it was new...hahaha. I also used a white rag with the mixture to clean the fan etc and it came out just as clean.

Best of Luck.

RE: Getting Rid of Underground Bumble Bee Nest
We live in Northern New Hampshire and we have these awful hornet/bee's called white jackets, they are white and black instead of yellow and black. Some of these nests can be huge underground. The only thing I have ever heard/ used is pour in gasoline and light it. I don't think we ever used much gasoline.

We were lucky one time something actually dug the nest out, we think a raccoon, or something about that size.

I would definitly check with the Fish and Game Department if you have one, or the EPA in your state they may be able to give you better idea's.

Also if you do use gasoline or its equivalent you really want to be careful, or have someone who has done it before do it. It is very dangerous.

Best of Luck

RE: Should I Let My Son Quit Football?
One thing I wonder, and not sure if this could be a possibility is could there be something else going on. Like someone giving him a hard time at school. If he is having horrible headaches {may want a doctor to check him out} it could be stress related, especially if someone is possibly bullying him.

It may be worth having him checked out because of the headaches either way, he is still young and shouldn't have headaches like this and maybe the doctor can talk to him to see if there is anything else going on. Maybe let him talk to the doctor one on one.

Best of Luck,

Kim

RE: Removing Sharpie From Back of TV
There is a product at the supermarket called "Magic Eraser" from Mr. Clean. It takes off anything, including Sharpie Marker marks. My son decided to write on several walls with a green sharpie and it all came off with the eraser. Actually I used the store brand which is considereably cheaper. It worked great! Good Luck.
