| RE: Vinegar As An All Purpose Cleaner |
|
I also use it in the wash, specially extra stinky clothes. Clothes comes out smelling fresh and extra clean. I use it in my steam mop. I add a little into the water and it cleans floors and sanitizes them better and nothing happens to the steamer (just don't add anything but water and vinegar) I put vinegar and a bit of dish washing liquid in a spray bottle (about a drop to three of soap) and use it as a spot cleaner, for quick spills and for quick toilet clean ups. Just use your imagination. it cleans and deodorizes whatever can be wet. I even used it to kill an infestation of ants in my house (killed them on the spot) and it was perfect because it was safe for my pets. I also use it when my bad kitty sprays. The vinegar breaks down the enzymes and leaves no smell behind. It is the most economical thing I use and not to mention safe for all. (us, pets, and the environment) ... View related article. |

| RE: Alternative to Swiffer Sweeper |
|
I have the same problem so one day a bath towel of mine was getting too old and what I did was cut it to the size of the swifer broom and I have been cleaning with that ever since. and to remove all the dog/cat hair off it I wipe the towel on the area rug and it all comes off and leaves the towel clean of all the lint and hairs. Then I go and vacuum the rug, which I have to do anyway. Easy and cheapest solution I've come up with yet! and since the towels are large, I made a few of them. They tuck in beautifully to the swifer and you can use the extras while you wash the used one. That is my "Aha!" idea. Hope this helps you, it works great for me ... View related article. |

Yes, vinegar is perfect for ants. I put 3/4 vinegar with a good splash of dish soap in a spray bottle. I used the soap because it adheres better to the ants and kills them instantly. I also like to use the vinegar because it doesn't harm my pets. win/win situation. Good luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Electric Smoke Detector Won't Stop Beeping |
We had this problem in our new home as well. The simple solution we came up with is: the air cans that are used for dusting the computers. the problem with these smoke detectors get very dusty and never get cleaned. Once we dusted them all it never happened again. Now, they only beep when they need new battery. (once a year) and that is when we also dust them. try it it's cheaper than replacing them and better than the annoying noise day and night. hope this helps. Good luck ... View related article. |
