RE: Toothpaste Hardened on Wall
It is toothpaste, it smells minty. I have heard of people using it as filler when they damage the walls of a rental property.

Water is not softening it much, just the outter little bit (may have to really work at it over days and take it off by layers). There was a lot of toothpaste put on the wall and the poster stuck on while it was wet.. so now there are large gobs of toothpaste on the wall, some with pieces of "tupac" stuck to them :( Pretty gross. ... RE: Easter Bunny Poem
People should also take caution with chicks too, I have seen people selling 'coloured' chicks for Easter presents. They do not stay fluffy and are you really prepared for a house chicken? :) Impulse pets of any kind just aren't a good idea!

RE: Catching Guinea Pig Escapees
As for bait (depending on the surrounding area) you could try some Alfalfa.. I know mine just love the stuff! Although if there is some growing wild, that may not work. Also depends on where mommy was kept, my GPs go crazy when they hear a plastic bag rattle, they think they are getting treats. That might lure mom from hiding. Other then that, I'm not sure what to do short of chasing them down with fishing nets :)

Good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Looking For Cool Salads For a Packed Lunch
This is one of my favourite cold salads and super simple to mix up.

Japanese Cabbage Salad

1/2 c. sliced or slivered almonds
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
1/2 a med. head of cabbage (shredded)
12 oz. fresh bean sprouts
2 c. fresh mushrooms
2 green onions chopped
1/4c. sunflower seeds

1 pkg instant noodles (any flavour)

Dressing:
the instant noodle seasoning
1/2c. cooking oil
2-4tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

*everything can be mixed ahead of time, but save the noodles until you are ready to eat as they can become soggy.

The great thing about this recipe is that you can always change the ingredients some (eg: leave out the muchrooms or add cooked cubed chicken breast).

Hope you enjoy!

RE: Cleaning SOS Pad Marks from a Tub
I tried the Eraser and the baking soda without much luck. Granted, my tub was shinning but the grey marks were still visible. In a last ditch effort, I tried Fantastik toilet boil cleaner... left it on for a few seconds and scrubbed/ rinsed. Worked like a charm!

RE: Pet Peeve: Dogs Doing Business Where Not Wanted
I know your frustration all too well. I am a dog owner and a responsible one at that! I always carry bags with me where ever I go and have trained my dog not to use grass as a toilet. When we go out for walks, she would rather use gravel (like back alleys) and the waste is always picked up immediately. I see people leaving "presents" on random lawns and I feel this gives the rest of us a bad rep. >:( ... View related article.
