How I came by my username: It's my husband's pet name for me, he saw the name of a cute little(??) hippo on a kid's cup named Hildalove and the rest is history.

Try googling on the Net with something like feline incontinence because sometimes there are vets on line who can give you free advice. You may have to register but it's worth a shot. Also a place to try is your local animal shelter. I adopted my dog there and they have helped me out a lot with problems with my dog's incontinence. They may be able to direct you to financial assistance with your pet, they often have a lot of connections. Again, worth a shot. ... View related article.
I use a binder for recipes, etc. Sometimes you can find the plastic sleeve page protectors in the dollar store and those are great for saving recipes, articles, etc. The photo album idea sounds good too and sometimes you can find them on sale or in the dollar store for a lot less money. ... One game I recall for couples is a version of the old "Newlywed Game" where you ask the women questions about their partner and vice versa. They can be like "What would you say your husband is most like: a roaring lion, a cuddly teddy bear, a devoted dog or a funny monkey?" They can be ridiculous or serious but have a mixture so it doesn't get repetitious. The couple with the most right answers gets a prize. The old Newlywed Game is often on reruns so you can watch the show for ideas. ... View related article.

I use baking soda in the wash with detergent, hot water, then two rinses. I put fabric softener in the final rinse. I would use vinegar but my DH wants the towels to smell flowery. He doesn't care about the absorbency as long as they smell like a mountain breeze or a summer bouquet!! I also dry them in the dryer and put extra time because I have problems with them smelling if they are the least bit damp when I put them away. ... View related article.
Sounds like a fungus infection, or her diet may be to blame. I would bug the vet for some explanation, maybe try her on some other food to see if an allergy is to blame. ... View related article.
I have had the same problem with my dog, not comparing your son with a dog though! Have you tried the enzyme urine cleaners on the market like Urine Gone or Rug Doctor Urine Eliminator? I have had fairly good luck with those. I soak the area and let it dry naturally and I have had to use it a second or even a third time but it does work eventually. If you worry about it happening again (not sure how old your son is) I have used a crib waterproof pad with a small blanket on top for protection on a sofa. Looks better than plastic and works quite well. ... View related article.
