RE: Stopping Calls from Creditors
Send them a REGISTERED letter telling them they must cease and desist all phone communication with you, this includes both home and work phones. Tell them you will lose your job if anymore phone calls are placed to your work, and state that you will be filing a police report for phone harassment. Make sure you look up the credit protection laws for your state. Search for it by typing in (your state name) home page. It should have links for credit rights and filing complaints. Make sure you keep copies of all transactions that you do, you will need these if you are taken to court. Good luck. ... View related article.

RE: HSBCdirect.com Online Savings Account Reviews
www.ripoffreport.com is a great site that offers feedback on just about any business, and it is also great for filing a complaint about any business that you have had problems with. Online banking can be convenient, but remember that any disputes you may have will have to be handled online or by phone. With identity theft so rampant these days, I don't think I would want my savings to be online--someone may find out how to access your account and take your money without leaving a clue. At least a bank in your area would be able to assist you immediately if theft of your account did occur. If an online bank has higher interest rates than your local bank, you need to think about the risks you are taking as opposed to the extra money your account will accrue. In my opinion, I would rather have a personal banker assist me in investing my savings--you will always be dealing with the same people at one place. When it comes to my money, I want to know exactly where it is, and I want to be able to access it when I want it, especially in case of an emergency. Good luck in whichever option you chose. ... RE: Simple Appetizer for 40 People
I have used this when catering parties:

2 1lb cans Ham
1 medium size sweet relish
2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese, softened
mustard
hotsauce
2 pkgs 12 inch flour tortilla or 3 smaller size
garlic powder
onion powder
6 large celery stalks

In food processer, finely mince celery. Put in large bowl.Finely mince ham as if for ham salad in processor, add to bowl. Process cream cheese till light and fluffy. Add a squirt of mustard, a few sprinkles of garlic powder and onion powder, few shakes of hotsauce, and the relish to the bowl. Mix well by hand. Stir in cream cheese. If needed, you may add a small bit of mayo to desired consistency. Get out a 9x13 pan, set aside. Place one tortilla on work surface--spread with mixture to 1/2 inch from edges. Roll tightly, then roll tightly in wax paper.Place in pan. Continue till you have used all ham mixture. Refridgerate overnight. When time to serve, cut into 1/2 inch slices and arrange on platter, sprinkle with paprika if desired. I never have any leftover. I call these Lori's Ham Roll-ups. It sounds fussy, but is actually quite easy to make, and you do them the day before. Good Luck! ... View related article.

RE: Grants for Low Income Seniors?
If you have a Salvation Army near you, visit them. They should have lists of places to help you. The Salvation Army here tells you where to go for free food, help with utility bills, low cost medical care, etc. Your local Lions Club will assist you with eyecare and eyeglasses. The local Public Aid office should also have lists of places that will help you. Good luck to you--I will pray for you ... View related article.

RE: Preventing Spyware and Adware
I used to have that problem too. I also use CrapCleaner(free), windows cleanup exe(free) and a wonderful spyware program called Spyware Killer Pro. I bought it at Meijers for under 30.00, but you can go to their website--www.cosmi.com It found 3600 spyware programs on my daughters computer. It is easy to use and beats all the other spyware programs I have tried. It also has an anonymous surfing program, free product updates, junk file cleaner, and start up cleaner and uninstall programs. I hope this is useful--I wouldn't ever be without my spyware pro again--both my puter and my daughters' runs like new. ... View related article.

RE: 13th Birthday Blunder
Hi Haley! Happy Birthday! Your mom is just being like any other mom--she is angry that you showed her disrespect, and she wants you to learn a lesson. To get on her good side again, you should write a nice letter to her telling her you know you were very wrong, and that was no way for an almost teenager to act. Tell her how much you love her and how much she means to you, then ask her if there is any other options for you to be punished for talking back. Make sure she knows that you understand what you did was wrong, and you should be punished for it. A thirteenth birthday is very special and can provide a lot of good memories in the future, it would be a shame to not have those memories. My daughter and I had a big fight on her 13th birthday, and we still cry over it--15 years later. Approach your mom as the young adult you are becoming, and have a nice mature discussion about the situation. Good luck honey--I hope you and your mom can work things out. ... View related article.

RE: Breastfeeding Advice
Congrats on that new grandbaby! My daughter was told to weigh the baby before and after feeding. You will be able to tell how many ounces the baby actually took in. My daughter found out she was not producing enough milk to keep baby happy, so she had to supplement the feedings with formula. Hope this helps! ... View related article.

RE: Chocolate Chip Cookies Gone Bad!
Jenny, are you using Imperial? I had the same problem years ago, and then discovered Imperial and some other brands are no longer labled as margarine. They now have a high water content, and that causes your cookies to go flat. Try using margarine, such as Land O Lakes, or Jewel brand margarine. You can also use Crisco butter flavor for your cookies. I catered for 21 years, and after I made this simple switch, my cookies come out perfect everytime. You can also use real butter, but you may have to lower the temperature 25 degrees, as the butter burns easily, Good luck, and let me know if this helps. Nanalori ... View related article.
