RE: Musty Smell on Old Curtains
I agree with the vinegar.... periodically DD leaves clothes in the washer for several days... and they smell... just wash with about a cup of vinegar and no more odors...

We have 4 inside dogs, so I keep a bowl of vinegar in different rooms of the house... no dog odors at all.. especially after rain and the dog smell is really bad.. ... View related article.

RE: Buying a Car at Auction
I work for an auctioneer and one thing you have to look at is if it has a "clear" title or a "salvage" title...

do some research previous.. like look on NADA for information and pricing..

and as previously stated.. bring someone with you to look at it.. although that will not always tell you what is wrong especially since you can't drive it.. they should at least start the car.

You stated a "car auction" you may want to call to see if they allow you to come in previous to do a better look at on the car... we used to have a place that held "car auctions".. they'd have 2 days druing the week before the auction you could come and look at the cars.

As with all auctions remember... SOLD AS IS,, WHERE IS .... (buyer beware)... auctioneers will be as honest as they can be.. it's their reputation, they don't want to hide anything, but with anything used.. one minute works fine and the next broke...

I can try to answer any other questions...

RE: Pony Tail Holder
Not sure if this is what you're talking about, but I made these for dance teams, sports teams from my daughters growing up.,.

I used a thick (covered) rubber band.. got some scrap material in the colors we needed, cut strips about 1/2" by about 3" (can't remember the exact size, but you can play with it).. then just tied around the rubber band, alternating colors until it was very full.. you can pull the rubber band a little to add a few more stips...

Hope this makes sense ... View related article.

I have seen a project of a snake... just take the CD's and glue over one another in an wavy pattern... decorate the top one with red felt in the shape of a tonge and googly eyes

RE: Washing Machine Not Cleaning Clothes
We had this problem... when we washed the clothes, we'd get black dots all over the items.. we had it looked at and the motor had developed an oil leak... it was cheaper to just go out and invest in a new washer. ... View related article.
