| RE: Parvo Help Needed |
Here is an excellent webpage about treating parvo puppies at home: http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/heal_parvo.html
When you pinch your puppies skin, it should go instantly back into place like it does if you pinch the skin on your own arm. Check his gums, they should be a nice dark pink. If his skin sticks for a second or his gums aren't a nice dark pink, he is dehydrated.
The #1 reason parvo puppies vomit is from dehydration, so making sure they are properly hydrated is especially important. You can give 1/4 of the dose every 15 minutes, to help make it easier to keep the fluid down or give him an enema. Again, http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/parvaid.html
We've used Parvaid to heal parvo puppies and it works excellent and is really good at preventing puppies from getting parvo if used preventatively.
Here are some retailers that sell Parvaid which retails for $45.97: http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/retailers.html

| RE: Can My Puppy Get Parvo Again if He is Not Vaccinated? |
Once a puppy recovers from the parvo virus, he or she will never get it again, as they will have natural immunity. We don't recommend vaccinating a recovered parvo puppy for parvo, as you are actually giving them more of the diseases which can create mild symptoms of the disease - poor/finicky appetite, occasional diarrhea, vomiting, etc. Some info is here: http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/heal_parvo.html

| RE: Does Anyone Have A Positive Parvo Story? |
Our own parvo puppies were healed at home using Parvaid - http://www.parvopuppy.com or http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/heal_parvo.html The vet wanted $7200 to treat them and we just didn't have that kind of money. It healed all 5 of our puppies and dosed preventatively (10 drops 4x/day for 5 days) it prevented 2 of our 5 puppies from coming down with any symptoms. Our worst puppy missed one meal and most puppies are healthy and well within 48 hours of dosing. Before finding Parvaid, the vet already lost 1 puppy and euthanized another. =( IF we'd have had Parvaid on hand before they get sick, those 2 puppies would still be alive today.
Best wishes for a quick recovery. Here are some retail stores that carry Parvaid - http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/retailers.html ... View related article. |
