Profile For Great Granny Vi - My Path Garden

Hello, I am great granny to 4 and granny to 4 and mom to 3. My Hubby & I have been living in Southern Ca. for many years. This past Aug. we celebrated 54 years together. I love gardening and sharing what I know about flowers and floral design. And I like to take pictures of gardens, mine and others. We fly our flag year round and support our troops everywhere.

In the winter I like to make soup/stews in large amounts to share with neighbors and friends.Cornbread too.

And I believe that God gives us the ability to make right choices and wrong ones and hope we learn from the mistakes we make. Try to do better. Love one another. Care about each other. Help when you can. And Smile brightly ever day AND above all ,Share hugs, love  and compassion.I wish you shoes with good soles, Tires for your cars that don't have a slow leak, I wish you that you don't  have to go out in the snow or rain for bread and milk , That you have a cozy room with a log burning, good music low lights ..."take care of you for me..".... A Bob Cummings saying. Many years ago.

PAY IT FORWARD is a concept I also believe in.

RE: Jasmine Leaves Turning Brown
Welcome to CA. It is a great place for growing so many wonderful plants. I have had Star Jasmine for years. They take hard cutting back and they will grow masses of white blooms around May/June/July. We just had ours cut back last week. Here is a picture of the vines. I do have one strange one. I dug it up about 10-15 yrs ago and moved it to the "Path Garden" and it became a TREE,never had a single white flower since, but does have pale yellow flowers in a much different form in June/July. I don't know what caused it to change but it makes a nice addition to the garden. The browning happens once in awhile when the weather is to hot.But they always come back with new growth.

They look happy in their new home. Now when they get big enough you can pass on the favor.
I just love how TF people help each other.

RE: Roomba Robotic Vacuum Cleaner Review
How long will it run before you have to empty it? Looks to small on T.V. to run in our 780 sq.foot home.

RE: Remedies for Restless Leg Syndrome
Unwrap the soap, cheap ones work just as well as the expensive ones. Place it under the bottom sheet near the edge of the mattress. I use one soap bar on each side of the bed, near my legs. And I put about 1/8TH of a bar near my shoulder. It also helped with that pain.
It also helps keep the soap from "traveling" if you put it in a sock( good use of an orphan sock) before putting it under the sheet.GG Vi ... View related article.

RE: Sponge Baths For Dogs
Your dog wash is $4 cheaper than Pet Smart .Their do it yourself dog wash WAS ten dollars. They charge $25 to wash and dry Buddy. Takes them 3 hours. I wash Buddy at home. And he's done in less than 1/2 hour. We're looking to get him a standing utility sink, so it isn't so hard on my old back. Good idea you have here. GG Vi ... View related article.

RE: Opening Large Cans of Food
If you have a small electric can opener you need to buy a hand held can opener. I think I saw them at the dollar store. My daughter bought me one of those "seen on T.V." OneTouch openers, it is battery powered and opens many sizes of cans. It sure helps arthritic hands. I know it is made in China. Sometimes you have to NOT "cut off your nose to spite your face."
GG hugs, Vi
