I have one question. If I were to get rid of all of my not so nice tops what would I wear to cook, clean, garden etc? I'm sloppy when I do these things and I don't want to wear anything good. ... View related article.

RE: Cat Aggressive to Owner and Other Cat
One of our cats did the same thing. We took him to the vet who said he had a temperature and was sick. The vet put him on antibiotics and and few days later he was fine. Our vet said that cats can become aggressive if sick. She also said some cats become aggressive if over stimulated. Our other cat nips (hard) if petted too long. ... View related article.

RE: Making Afghans with the Knifty Knitter
The easiest way is to make a few strips all the same length and sew or crochet them together. If you can make a scarf you can make an afghan. An afghan is just a bunch of scarves (strips) sewn or crocheted together. On a piece of paper I keep a record of how many rows are in a finished strip and how many rows I've worked in the current strip. I have a friend who alternates colors every other row to make counting easier. In that case you don't have to cut the yarn every couple of rows, just carry it up the side of the strip. When you put the strips together, the yarn carried up the side can be hidden in the seam. Have fun making your afghan.

Also check the web site of the manufacturer of your knifty knitter. They may have free patterns. ... View related article.

RE: Drinks and ice, cheap and ready to go
I reuse many times 16 and 20 ounce plastic bottles. I fill them up about 85 per cent full and freeze them. It's a good idea to freeze them without the lids and add the lids when frozen. When we are ready to leave I grab a few frozen bottles and we are ready to go. They defrost quickly in the heat. They are also good to drink from when we are home and it's 90 degrees. ...
