| RE: My Frugal Life: $20,000 Experiment in Happiness a Failure |
It's really funny that you are all talking about siding a house when that is exactly what I need to do and yes, it would make me very happy to be able to afford to do so as I love my little one bedroom bungalow. However, it is sided with stucco that is deteriorating very badly. I've gotten estimates on getting the stucco repaired, but the cost far outweighs getting it sided.
My house payments are very low, but I'm recently widowed and what little money I do have, I have to keep because I currently am out of work. I do agree however that $20,000 to side a house seems a bit excessive. My estimates were $10,000 on the high side. But, for now I will wait and trust in God that when the time is right, I will be able to afford to get the job done. I don't think spending money on upkeep for your home is extravagant unless it's for an addition that you really can live without. Besides that, spending a little money now and then is what keeps America working. ... View related article. |

| RE: Memory Photo Board |
|
I purchased two large ones at Walmart for my husband's memorial service. They are quite large. I then made my own captions for each photo of him. I placed his baby pictures, his grade school pictures, his military pictures, our wedding pictures and various holiday pictures on the boards. They turned out beautiful. It's been a little over a year and I still haven't taken them apart yet. ... View related article. |

| RE: Unemployed People Receive 20% K-Mart Saving |
Thank you also for this tip. I don't think they take down your SS #, they probably just glance at it for verification, so I wouldn't worry about it. I was not issued an unemployment card, just my paperwork. I wonder if that'll work because I file my unemployment on line. ... View related article. |

Oh how I wish my husband were here so we could travel together. Please take good care of your husband and your marriage. Remember your wedding vows. Your husband should come FIRST above all else. My husband passed away last year. We had a wonderful relationship because we put each other first. It sounds like you already have the answer and you know what you should do. Perhaps it's not the answer you were looking for and you're waiting to find someone to tell you the oppisite and take care of your grandchildren. I think that would be a huge mistake. I hope you do the right thing and honor your husband and your wedding vows. ... View related article. |
