RE: Wedding Gift For Boss
What about a honeymoon Hamper?

We have given these to several couples we know that have everything and don't need anything. Present it in a large basket that can be used as a picnic basket or for decoration afterwards.

Include things like chunky candles(that don't fall over), matches, a bottle of wine, wine glasses, chocolates, tablecloth, crackers and special cheeses, a disposable camera and anything you know the couple likes and will eat. You could even include some body chocolate massage oil, rose petals and some other fun stuff!

Arrange for it to be taken with them on their honeymoon night. A great way for any new bride and groom to begin their first night together!

RE: Wedding Cootie Catchers!
What a great idea. I am going to use this idea for invitations for my daughters birthday party. Modified of course!

Just found this by googling. It is a power point file but can be edited and printed.

Hope this helps all of you wanting a template you can edit.

RE: Can Dogs Spread Disease?
E coli is a bacteria found in the fecal matter of all animals including humans. It can cause health problems.

More info here

http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/health/ecoli.html

Make sure your dog is wormed regularly to prevent yourself or anyone else catching them . You can not catch heartworm from your dog. Most types of worms are rarely fatal but can cause pain, bloating, bloody diarrhea, increased or reduced appetite and so the list goes on.

The chances of catching something are small, however just follow safe hygiene practices and make sure all members or the family (including the furry ones) are wormed at the same time.

RE: Balancing Work and Family
Let your daughter "look after" something of yours whilst you are away from her. Give it to her each time you leave her. I used a teddy, but it could be a hat, badge, bracelet, hair tie or anything else, but it must be yours! (you might need to make or buy something to make sure it is kid safe)

I had to do this with my 2 year old when I worked and it did the trick. She used to cry as soon as she saw that I was wearing work clothes. It took a few days to get into it but soon she was getting "Mummy's teddy" off the bed to look after until I came home, and magically no more tears. Looking after the teddy gave her something else to focus on and made her feel special even when I was not able to be there. The teddy had to be put back when I came home, but if she was ever sick, she was able to have it with her all night.

I hope this helps what ever you decide to do. My baby is now 7 but still asks for Mummy's special teddy if she is sick. ... View related article.
