RE: Transplanting a Rose of Sharon
I have tons of rose of Sharon bushes and you can replant them at any time, spring or summer. One word of advise, they do re seed themselves everywhere. It has become a major task to pull up the baby ones before they take root, and they do root quickly. I have planted pinks, purples and whites all together and when they bloom they are beautiful. I have started to cut the tops off so they do more of a bushing out than a tree. I have an entire border that's about six feet tall as a "fence" in my backyard. Good luck with them. ... RE: Homemade Green Goddess Dressing Recipe
Finally someone who likes this stuff!! My husband and I like it a lot but I do not like the bottled kind. There's nothing like the fresh home made.It is a bit pricey to make but goes a long way. I have tried several recipes,I don't really have a favorite. The only advise I can give you is to make sure that you use one that has anchovies (or paste) in it and don't skimp on fresh parsley and the green onions.Good luck! Now I'm hungry!! ... RE: Asking Wedding Guests to Bring Finger Foods
When my husband and I got married we went to the court house and took only our kids with us.We were married before and didn't need all of the gifts and such so we had a reception at a friends pool and all the guests brought a covered dish instead of gifts. My parents made a ham and turkey plus we had cheese and meat platters with veggie and fruit too.We had so many side dishes it was nuts!It was great and the guests loved it. It was also cheaper on the guests than buying a gift that we didn't need anyway. We paid for the drinks and paper products, the cake and decorations. Everything else was brought by friends and family. We all had a good time.Nobody had to "dress" either because it was a pool party. Good luck to you. ... View related article.
