| RE: Dishwasher Dulls Wilton Cake Pan |
Hey, hey, just in case any of you do the same dumb thing; Wilton told me to grease it down, let it sit for 24 hrs, wash, rinse and do it again and although the shine won't come back it will look considerably better than it does now.
Thought I'd try the manufacturer for kicks and giggles and they came right back with an answer from customer service. Don't have the energy for all that scrubbing jsham! ... View related article. |

| RE: Ear Cropping and Tail Docking |

Sounds to me like you're trying to start a designer dog breed. I've had both min pins and chihuahaha's and both are adorable as they are, not a mixed breed. Docking is cruel, please don't consider it. ... View related article. |

| RE: Feeling Dizzy All the Time |
Although you have received a great deal of information from our fellow posters the best one, and least dangerous one, is to see a physician. Please do not try to self diagnose yourself. Leave that to the professionals who can both diagnose and treat you for minor to major physical ailments. COflower was spot on when she typed that internet information should not be substituted for a real doctor. ... View related article. |

| RE: Disguising Smoke Detectors |
|
Although I agree with many of the posters the only question I would like to ask is: Are you more concerned about how these detectors look, vs the fact that they have the capability of saving your life? The best suggestion (for ceiling mounts) is the mesh food cover that keeps flies out of your outdoor picnic foods. Anything else that has any kind of weight to it would block the alarm from sounding and I guess you really wouldn't have to worry about how ugly they are because that would be moot when your home burned down. Not trying to be rude but I'd rather hear that you're alive than you decorated a fire detector and that prevented it alarming. ... View related article. |

| RE: Caring for Stray Cats |

Please contact your local SPCA or Humane Society. Most have a capture and release, spay/neuter program for this type of feral colony. I understand that you are a humanitarian but as other posters have mentioned all you are doing is harm to these cats as they continue to multiply. If you are on a limited income please, please, place yourelf ahead of the cats and check out resources in your community that can and will assist you. I too rescued a feral who had just had a litter and brought all of them from NJ down to FL, spaying the mom and neutering the kittens - my way of not contributing to further feral colonies (tho all of the kittens were adopted). Good luck with your quest and I hope your community can help you. ... View related article. |

Thanks MCW, I was hoping that there would be a way to restore the shine to it as it doesn't look very appealing to bake in the way it is. I appreciate your help tho. ... View related article. |

| RE: Scratch and Dent Appliance Stores |
I don't know if the company is in NC but here in Florida we have a company named Appliance Direct. They usually move into a store which has closed and/or sometimes they have their own free standing building. I purchased my LG, front load, washer and dryer for less than half of retail. I didn't really care that there was a scratch on the detergent drawer as they are in a seperate laundry room. Some imperfections are on the front, some on the sides, it just depends upon how picky you are. To save $$$ I don't really care as long as they work properly. ... View related article. |

| RE: Safely Disposing of Medications |

You can always take any unused meds back to the pharmacy where you purchased them (in original bottles, please). The pharmacy has a specific area where they place these meds for disposal. Rather than bagging, crushing, or dumping meds this is the easiest and safest way to have them properly disposed of. ... View related article. |

| RE: What Are These Bugs? |
|
The are definitely NOT roaches! Having lived both in the North and South I would recommend that you listen to all of the other feedback about them being June bugs (a relative of the Japanese Beetle), and not the people who have said they are flying roaches. Just for your information ALL roaches fly, be they the German or regular old "Palmetto bug" (who got it's name because that's where they mainly live and breed). ... View related article. |
