I usually put my frozen piiece of meat [beef, chicken, etc.] in the fridge the evening before to defrost for the next day. If something comes up and I don't use the item that day, I have used it on the following day with no problems. After that I would disgard it as unsafe. In order to save money I buy meats, and other items, on the last day of sale [usually for half price] and freeze them at once. If the item you are defrosting is a last day of sale item, use it the day you defrost it. Also, it is safe to refreeze meat as long as there are ice crystals still present. KayD ... I have one that uses pins thru little plastic beads. and on the top is a "scene" glued on, with plastic animals and trees.
I would just use the beads* in different colors making designs - make a ring, 2-3 beads wide, around the center in 1 color, use another color next to it on both top and bottom. Use the first color, then the second, alternating til the ball is covered.
Make bands in a zigzag /\/\/\/\ as with the rings
Place circles [like polka dots] around the ball, then fill in with a background color.
Make whatever design you want, and fill in the background.
You can make the colors, and designs, you want, and they'll last for years.
You can cover the ball with sequins and either large beads in place of the marshmallows, or small beads in the center of the sequin, Either in the same color or a different color.
*Use sequins to make your patterns, in place of the beads, it will be cheaper.
If you want a fuit flavored spread, use the fruit of your choice and blend it with softened cream cheese. A hard fruit like an apple whould be very finely chopped. Crush fruits, like berries, peaches, and plums. You can use canned fruits, just be sure to drain them well.
All you need to do is, stir the cream cheese to a spreading consistency and blend in as much, or as little of the fruit as meets your taste. You can add cinnamon, nutmeg, even apple pie spice [for an apple pie taste], to get just the right strength and balance of flavor. You can also use fruit preserves [not jelly] or a thick puree.
For other flavors you can add dried soup mixes [onion, mushroom, even chicken]. Maybe you want ranch flavor? A dried salad dressing mix,
The supermarkets have envelopes of all kinds of flavors for sauces, soups, salad dressings, and meat dishes [taco, sloppy joe flavor].
If you want a vegetable flavor, puree a seeded drained tomato, very finely chop some celery, add a touch of parsley, maybe use some chives or celery powder [not salt].
Lance makes packages of 6 snack crackers with cream cheese and chives [my fav].
Start with the cheese and experiment for sweet, sour, spicy. or what ever you want.
If you want to test a flavor, take maybe a teaspoon of the cheese, add the flavorings, and let sit maybe 10 minutes then taste.
Of course the results can go on crackers, bagels, toast, celery stalks, chips. pancakes, waffles. Make crustless finger sandwiches.
I used aspertame for years in my tea [I average about a gallon a day]. When I stopped, I noticed a change in the frequency and severity of my migraines. I now use stevia in my green tea, and my migraines are much easier to deal with. And overall, I feel better. ... View related article.
If you want to be a bit more fancy in the drinks, other than plain tea or Kool aid, Visit your local dollar store and pick up some ginger ale and bottles of fruit juices [apple, pineapple, grapefruit, mixed juices (strawberri/kiwi)]. You can start with a base of tea, or just mix together the soda and juices. Some people add sherbert to their punches, personally, after a while, the sherbert melts, and, while it tastes good, it looks pretty icky. The night before I would make a big block of ice [or 2 - for when first one melts] in a large freezer safe plastic bowl or container [you can make the ice from a mixture of the drink itself so it doesn't get watered down] ...
