RE: Gnats or Bedbugs
Fleas do not fly! You had rotten fruit, they are probably fruit flies. Google it, there are many homemade traps you can make. I agree with everyone else, if you can't give your cat a loving home, find her another one! She deserved better than living alone and sad in your garage. ... View related article.

RE: Making a Courthouse Wedding Special
I was married in a courthouse on Valentine's Day by an elderly, female judge (30 years ago). She opened a music box to play during the ceremony and sentenced us to life(her joke) together. She cracked us up and made our wedding truly memorable. Good Luck! ... View related article.

RE: Leaves Dying on an Avocado Plant
I think you may have over watered it. If that is the case it probably will not make it, sorry. I would not feed it either we have never fed ours and we have about 30 trees(my hubby just can;t throw those seeds away!). Let it dry out a little between watering, then water completely till it runs out the bottom, but do not let it sit in water.

I usually cut mine back at about a foot high down to 6" or so. Avocados do not like to be repotted, that is why they suggest to first pot it in a fairly large pot. Remember It is really easy to start a new one if yours does not make it and fairly inexpensive. Think guacamole, yum. Just google starting avocado trees and you will get lots of help.
Hope this helps, good luck! ... View related article.

RE: Protecting Window Sills from Pet Scratches
I agree with everyone else, why take one of the few joys they have away from them. Put a nice box, chair or ledge up for them. Let them look out the window! ... View related article.

RE: Tips and Recipes For Imitation Crab
Oh, I forgot, if I happen to have a ripe avocado I will make my eggs more like an omelet style and put the cheese and sliced avocado on one side, then fold the eggs over it. Healthy and delish! ... View related article.

RE: Tips and Recipes For Imitation Crab
My fave recipe for imitation crab is as follows:
Saute some onion till soft and a little caramelized(bout 5min) add flake crab and saute another 2min. scramble some eggs and add to pan. cook to you liking. Top with shredded or sliced cheese(I prefer Monterrey Jack) cover to let melt(bout 1min) Ta da, pure yum! add some toast(I like English muffins) and fruit. A BLD meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) Of course I would prefer real crab, but this is really a good substitute. Enjoy! ... View related article.

RE: Re-scan TV Channels When Installing New Equipment
Rescan once, twice and on and on. Our antenna is fairly new and yet with the change to digital we have to scan a couple of times a day! Wind, rain, time of day etc. all change the reception, it's a bummer. We do get more channels than we did before, but not always the ones we want. So, if you find a favorite not coming in one day, it may come in later or the next day! ... View related article.

RE: When Are Kittens Old Enough to Give Away?
Hi, Six weeks is the youngest, but eight weeks is recommended. They should be fully weaned by then. After about ten days you should handle and play with them a lot to socialize them (wash hands before and after). Watch eyes for crustiness or yellowish discharge. Many kittens get an eye infection that has to have medicine from the vet.
Please find them good homes with people you know or trust and not strangers unless they are well screened and get the mom fixed so there are no more unwanted kittens. There are too many in this world now! Hope this helps. ... View related article.
