RE: Burnt Oil on a Stainless Steel Pan
You can remove burnt oil marks from a stainless steel or aluminum pan much more safely by using a baking soda paste. Mix baking soda and water (just enough to form a paste) in a bowl. Then use either a wash cloth or a scrub brush to apply it to the pan. Scrub and allow the paste to sit. It may take several applications but eventually it will come off scratch free! ... RE: Bugs in the Pancake Mix
I keep all of my flour products, grains, etc. in sealed gallon sized storage bags. This helps keep the pantry bugs out. ... View related article.

RE: Dollar Store Freezer Bags vs the Name Brand
Don't use freezer bags from the dollar store. I recommend the Great Value bags or if you have extra $ purchase the Ziploc freezer bags. Also, freeze the bag when its lying flat so you'll have more room for storage. It also helps it thaw faster. ... View related article.

RE: Tips for Freezing Leftovers
I like to freeze my food in sandwich bags. I put the food/ sauce in the bag and gently squeeze out all of the air. Then I place the bag in a gallon freezer bag. If you lay the bag flat in your freezer, you'll have extra room. Plus it makes thawing a breeze! When it comes to freezing pasta, be sure not to cook the pasta thoroughly. This will help prevent it from being less than desirable once it is thawed. ... View related article.

RE: What Should We Do With a Truck That We Can't Afford?
Sell the truck. Contact your lender. Explain your situation. Ask for a loan equal to the difference you owe on the loan and the fair market value for the truck. Whatever that amount may be is a lot cheaper than the alternative. If you need a vehicle, purchase a car/ truck with cash. A paid for vehicle drives a whole lot better than one that you owe on. ... RE: Getting Perfume Smell Out of Clothing
I along with the other members agree that you should wash the clothes with a cup of vinegar. Another solution is to hang the clothes outside for a few hours and let the sun remove the odors for you. Launder as usual afterwards. ... View related article.

RE: Collect Water In Sink When Waiting For Hot
Please know that if you have a water softner that uses salt, you cannot use it to water plants as it may kill them. Just pour it in your washer instead. I do this and you won't believe the amount of $ we save on our water bill! ... View related article.

RE: 14 Day Induction Diet
Atkins sells chocolate bars. They are expensive but taste great. Thumbs up for eating low fat meats. Red meat is what really hurt my hubby when we did the diet together. Do see your dr on a regular basis so he/she can monitor you. Proceed with caution! As for coffee, just replace it with water. ... View related article.
