RE: Cleaning With Baking Soda
Thanks for the great tip! I will pick up a couple of jars at Walmart. I already have a couple but I use them for the cheese & red peppers for pizza.

I love your dispenser! and I always buy at least 6 boxes of the baking soda when I go to Aldi's. I use it in everything!! :) My grandma used it for an antacid reducer. ... View related article.

RE: Rotten Meat Smell in the Refrigerator
Put a 20# bag of charcoal in the bottom of the cleaned fridge. Tear open and leave in there about a week. You cannot use the fridge while doing this. ... View related article.

RE: Crazy Glue on Eyeglasses
Call your eye doctor and ask. It will depend on the type of lens you have. I'm sure they will tell what & how to do it at no charge. And if they don't do it free of charge, I'd look into getting a new optometrist. ... View related article.

I wish I had thought about this when my girls were teens. I wouldn't have had so many "sleepless" nights. Going to tell my daughters about this one :) Thanks! ... View related article.

RE: How to Get a Start From a Flowering Almond Bush
I got mine from a friend as a start and he just dug up some roots beside the bush and I planted that. It's been there about 18 years now, hubby accidently cut a huge piece out of it with hedge trimmers a couple of years ago and it doesn't look as nice as it used to but it's still going. Very striking flowers in the spring :)! ... View related article.

RE: Uses for Plastic Coffee Containers
I wash, dry and save egg shells all winter so that I can spread them around my hostas in the spring. Keeps the slugs off your plants and the canisters are a great place to keep them. After using an egg, rinse out the shell, let dry on paper towels and then crumble in the can. ... View related article.

RE: Cleaning A Pizza Stone
I have a Pampered Chef one but think they are probably all about the same for care. I do know that you should never use any kind of soap on them. I don't even use a rag or sponge that has had soap in it. I always get a clean one.

When I have stubborn food on mine, I soak it in just plain hot water for a while and it cleans right off then with a dish cloth. The best thing you can use if you want to try and scrape it is a plastic pancake turner or the equivalent. Hope this helped some.

Just love pizza's off the stone!! :) ... View related article.
