RE: Gasoline Smell in a Washing Machine
Years ago i was told by a professional to use a cup of salt when washing my husbands garage clothes to cut the grime and smell. Maybe you could try adding a box of salt to the machine, filling it letting it set a bit then run through cycle. I never had a problem with the smell and I've washed shop rags with gas, diesel and oils on them and I always use salt with the detergent. ... View related article.

RE: Inexpensive Face Moisturizer
You can use Vaseline or olive oil but to me they're too oily. What I use is dollar store brand whipped baby lotion. only a dollar for large bottle. isn't greasy, moisturizes, lightly scented, and leaves skin soft. A bottle lasts a while too making it a cheap deal. ... View related article.

RE: Reviews of "Tough As Tile" Product
First let me tell you the fumes are horrendous and you have to have fans , blowing and as for me pulling air at the same time, open windows and doors also take a breather break fairly often. Best done during warmer weather and long days. Now, if I haven't scared you too bad let me say I refinished two tubs and showers, two hand sinks, an old set of double kitchen sinks and one counter top. I did one project at a time a few weeks apart. The wait/curing time is rather long. This was about seven years ago and they still look great. Saved a bundle and found out it's almost exactly the same thing the re finishers use.

Oh and right now I'm helping my daughter redo her older home and come late spring we're refinishing her sinks and tub with this product. If you have the time and can stand the fumes while you're working, go for it. Hope this helps you. ... View related article.

RE: Water Backing Up in Dishwasher and Disposal
Had this problem a few years ago myself. The plumber said disposals can't handle red meats. It sorta shreds it and then if it's not completely flushed out from lines it will eventually cause a blockage in lines. I had already cleaned the trap and did my own snake job on it but didn't have a long enough snake like he had. He cleaned mine out and it looked awful with the other stuff all tangled in it, haven't put meat scraps down it since and haven't had the problem since. ... View related article.

RE: Woman's Day Magazine Mini Gingerbread House
I've been doing this for years with grand kids, take two full length graham crackers, with serrated knife carefully cut corners off one short edge of each to form a pointed top. Take two half crackers and glue(royal icing) to tall pointed crackers ( the bottom half leaving the pointed half clear for roof)take two halves and glue to the top edges for roof. Let dry and decorate. We have a blast with these every year. So easy, simple and quick not to mention cheap. Sometimes we make them for valentines and Easter. Hope this is what you wanted. ... RE: Uses For Downy Fabric Softener Balls
Don't know about night light but maybe freeze them for lunch boxes, or spray paint, fill partially with sand or stones and make candle holders for center pieces, spray paint with silver chrome and use to make mini gazing ball for plants, if they're not too hazy remove plug and make snow globes. Just a few thoughts off the top of my head. Hope it helps you and if i figure out anything about the night light I'll post it for you ... View related article.

RE: Help with 4 Year Old Behavior
Please encourage the parents to have the child checked by professional for possible abuse. I had the same behavior going on with my four year old grandson. Great with me but not when mom showed up, got defiant, aggressive at times at home, preschool, showed social problems, sleep problems, regressed in speech and other areas. We found out he was molested several times by a family friend his parents had known and trusted for ten years. This child was also diagnosed as adhd, bipolar and sent to counseling. Better to be sure and I pray I'm wrong. ... View related article.
