| RE: Keeping Cut Fruit Fresh |
Lemon or pineapple juice work great. There is also a product called Fruit Fresh. It is powdered citric acid, which is what is in lemon and pineapple juice that keeps the fruit from turning. I use it when I am canning or freezing to keep my fruit looking fresh all the time. It is available in your grocery in the spice aisle or near canning supplies, not very expensive. | RE: Cracked Biscuits |
I agree, brushing them with butter is a must. Also, I think you need to be sure the dough isn't too dry or overworked. Bake quickly in a hot oven.

| RE: Vacuum Your Sewing Machine |
Another thing to enhance this: Take about an 18 inch long piece of flexible plastic tubing (like you use for a fish tank or a little larger). Using a piece of duct tape, tape over the end of your vacuum hose and attach the tubing (to attach the tubing making an airtight joining to maintain suction). Then vacuum your sewing machine. It allows you to get into every tiny crevice. When done just pull off the duct tape. If any residue of the tape sticks, it cleans off easily with rubbing alcohol. I do this and clean my sewing machine, serger and computer keyboards (and any other little nook or cranny I can't get into otherwise), then pull off the duct tape and save the tubing until the next time.

| RE: Thread Wall Organizer |
This is definately a "Thrifty Tip"! Have you seen what thread organizers sell for in the stores? They are usually made with thin dowels for the thread spool that break off easily, too. Great idea! This is one of those "Why didn't I think of that" ideas!! :) Cheryl http://www.2ewenique.com ... View related article. |
