A new, trendy, but old-fashioned french look is to do black and white.
paint the top cabinets white paint the bottom cabinets black
It looks like you have beige, or taupe countertops...this is fine, and the black/white will look modern, updated, and will really brighten up your kitchen!
Also it will look nice viewed from any room. Your small dining room, try putting accents that are red and green, or blue and white. Put a black and white picture of the Eiffel tower on the wall. Get a ceramic rooster. This look is very much in style, and will look great for a long time! ... View related article.
I never store sheets! Years ago I decided that I really only need one set of sheets per bed. (and, we have 5 bedrooms and 5 beds!)
So, there is just one set of sheets per bed. When they are washed, the bed is stripped, washed, dried, and put immediately back on the bed! Saves on storage, and really just makes it easier in the end. (who can fold a fitted sheet anyway?)

They feel like butter and just get softer with each washing! (I have one set, for my queen bed, that is 4 or 5 years old, and they are as soft as a baby blanket. It is in a guest room, and everyone just loves them!) ... View related article.
