My girl did that last summer. I'd been told once when she had pneumonia that the reason she wasn't eating was that she couldn't smell her food with her nose all stuffed up. She is 13 now. Last year when she was 12 she stopped eating a couple days and I got really worried. So I figured that since she's old she probably couldn't smell her food as well as she could when younger. I went and bought Tuna in a can and salmon when wet catfood wouldn't work. I then changed the rule she'd had all her life and let her eat people food, namely chicken we were eating. I mean I don't care about the rules if she's going to waste away! She ate the tuna salmon and loves chicken! Then, I also had to change her food to a more expensive better tasting food than the cheap kind. Hey they're old and if you love them you can spend a few more bucks to keep em alive! When my beloved cat died I was heartbroken. My husband had his own cat and I ended up adopting a stray. He took the new cat over right away. I ended up adopting another stray and when he began trying to take that one over I told him he better leave it alone or I'd get ANOTHER one. He left it alone and Toonces has been all mine for 13 years now. Threaten to get another dog. Actually you may want to go ahead and get another one, but tell hubby if he takes it over you will get ANOTHER one until he allows you to have your own dog! Here is a picture of me and my girl. ... The last time I made bacon, I took my dogs 2 bone 'ends' he'd been neglecting and put them in the sink and poured the grease over them and let them drain for a few hours. omg that is a nightmare to me! PLEASE try to freecycle or donate that first!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im NOT the only one i know who loves to play our records! Borrow a record player and records from the 60s! I have a record player and records lol - im from Streamwood but i live in Indiana now - if you know someone whos still got a record player, that would be really cool! also, the best surprise parties ive ever thrown or went to were held a day or 2 later when theyre least expecting it! just make sure shes got a good heart - cuz it scares the hell out of the person! :) ...
