| RE: Skin Care Advice |
I can't help you with the foundation (don't wear any myself) but have found that one of the longest lasting, most versatile and inexpensive facial cleansers is Noxema. When I was a teenager, my grandma told me that used to use it when she was growing up. I followed suit after noticing that she had very few wrinkles (even at her death at age 80), the softest skin, and a truly enviable complexion. You simply rub a small amount onto your moistened face and wipe it off with a wet washcloth. If your skin tends to be dry, you might also choose to add a light moisturizer (or more Noxema) after drying off. Noxema is also very soothing for tired muscles and sunburned skin and is sold in "sensitive skin" formula. Worst case scenario: You spend about $4 for something with multiple uses that will last for a long, long time. Best of luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Sharpie on Car Interior |
Although "Goof Off" is wonderful to remove latex-based paint and misc. stains, I would NOT recommend using it on the interior of your car for two reasons:
"Goof Off" is a xylene-based solvent. These types of solutions have a tendency to remove the finish on leathers & vinyls.
Also, the smell of xylene takes quite a while to dissipate so if you live anywhere where your car interior becomes warm, the smell can become overwhelming and excess inhalation of the vapor may depress the central nervous system (CNS), and possibly cause symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.
Personally, I would recommend the use of 95% ethanol (AKA denatured alcohol -- not isopropyl or rubbing alcohol). If you have difficulty finding ethanol for purchase, you could try something similar in nature such as Everclear or another 190 proof alcohol. ... View related article. |

You could try adding a half of a 1 oz. packet of au jus seasoning to every pound of ground beef. We adore our burgers cooked this way and never have to use any other salt or condiments. I hope that you enjoy it! ... View related article. |

| RE: Refurbishing a Fiberglass Tub |
Have you tried paint that is sold for fiberglass boat bottoms? I cannot recall the brand (maybe Interlux?) but about 10 years ago I used this on a bathroom sink and never had any issues with it. I know that I purchased mine at a chain hardware store (Menard's) and it was around $60 but it was hundreds cheaper than replacing the sink unit and it can be purchased in white or in multiple tints. I hope that this helps! ... View related article. |

Try placing several denture cleaning tablets (the cheaper, the better) into the toilet bowl and allow them to remain overnight. Plug the sink, fill with water and place a few tabs in there also. Allow solution to set for several hours before scrubbing. I hope that this helps. It worked well for me, it doesn't harm the environment and is a cheaper method than a lot of commercially sold cleaners. ... View related article. |
