| RE: Dog is Scratching at the Carpet |

Dachshunds like to "nest" and love to be convered with a blanket or towel. We have a 7 year old Dachshund and whenever she wants to nap, she crawls under the throw we have on the couch. She also sleeps under the covers with my daughter every night. It's worth a try to see if that will stop your little doxie from digging a "nest". Good Luck! ... View related article. |

| RE: Cleaning Copper Pots and Pans |
|
Sherri, the best product I have ever used on my pots and pans is called CAMEO. It's a powdered cleanser; comes in a white plastic container and I've only found it at Wal-Mart. You will not believe how shiny it makes your cookware; they will look as good as new and this product doesn't scratch the surface. ... View related article. |

3 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 1/4 cup butter 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Place chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter or margarine in large microwaveable bowl. | RE: Cake Recipes Using White Cake Mix |
Here's a couple I think you will enjoy.
Coconut Poke Cake
1 package white cake mix 1 can cream of coconut 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 package frozen whipped topping, thawed 1 package flaked coconut Prepare and bake white cake mix according to package directions. Remove cake from oven. While still hot, using a utility fork, poke holes all over the top of the cake. Mix cream of coconut and sweetened condensed milk together. Pour over the top of the still hot cake. Let cake cool completely then frost with the whipped topping and top with the flaked coconut. Keep cake refrigerated.
Strawberry Dream Cake
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix 1 1/2 cups frozen sweetened strawberries, pureed 12 ounces cream cheese 8 (1 ounce) squares white chocolate 1 cup heavy whipping cream 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 1/2 pint sliced fresh strawberries Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 9 inch round cake pans. Make cake per directions except substitute the 1 1/2 cups of strawberries for the water and add 1 extra egg, (if cake mix calls for 2 eggs add 3), and 8 ounces of the cream cheese at room temperature. Beat well and pour into the prepared pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. A toothpick inserted in the center will not come out clean when this cake is done since it is so moist. Let cake cool fully before frosting. To Make Frosting: Heat the heavy cream until just beginning to boil. Pour it over the white chocolate (chopped) and the remaining 4 ounces cream cheese. Mix well and let cool. Once cool fold into the whipped topping. Use to frost cooled cake and garnish with sliced fresh strawberries.

| RE: Recipe For Vinegar Based, Crock Pot Pulled Pork |
Hi Barb-
I have the easiest recipe for crock-pot pork; however, the BBQ sauce I use is not vinegar based. I purchase a pork tenderlion and "Sweet Baby Rays" (THE BEST!) BBQ Sauce. Place the pork tenderlion in the crock-pot; pour 3/4 of the bottle of BBQ sauce over tenderlion. Flip tenderlion over to coat all sides. Cook on high for 3.5 to 4 hours. Transfer tenderlion onto a large plate. Using a fork in each hand, pull pork apart; shredding into bite-size pieces. Pour the remainder of the BBQ sauce over pork and mix throughly.
Barb- maybe your grocery store sells the NC style BBQ sauce that you could use inplace of the Sweet Baby Rays. ... View related article. |
