| RE: Using Vinegar on Rosacea |
|
Do not put apple cider vinegar directly on your Rosacea. I have contact dermatitis and tried the vinegar directly on my skin. It made it tremendously worse. It's okay for undamaged areas of skin but not on any broken or inflamed areas. ... View related article. |

| RE: How Well Do Garment Steamers Work? |
|
I agree with Ace00. Don't waste your money. I was given one as a Chritmas gift and was not pleased with it. I know it cost $100. So, it was not cheap. I had used steamers before in a ladies' dress shop that worked wonderfully. I think the main difference was, we hung the garment flat on a large flannel board. I tried using my bedroom door and steamed the finish off! So, not so great an idea. ... View related article. |

| RE: Treating a Dog with Yeast Infection |
|
My dogs used to be bothered with ear infections until I started feeding them a tablespoon of yogurt with every meal. I also give them grapefruit seed extract in their water. It's a natural antibiotic. I give it to them as a preventative against infections of all sorts. You can get it at health food stores. It's a little bottle but lasts forever. It has to be very diluted because it's very bitter tasting. You can mix it with distilled water and apply directly on irritated areas. Goggle grapefruit seed extract and you'll find all sorts of uses for it. I suffer from rashes of all sorts and it's the best thing I've found for getting rid of them. I take it with water twice a day plus directly on any rashes. Good luck. ... View related article. |

| RE: Aerating Your Lawn |
|
We have an equipment rental business. We rent aerators. We tell people it takes about twice as long as it does to mow. Most people will go over it from two directions. Leave the plugs on the lawn and either let the rain wash them back in, or your sprinkler. Hope this helps. ... View related article. |

| RE: Abused Dog with Separation Anxiety |
Oh, I swear by the ComfortZone diffuser. That thing is amazing. Just plug it in by the dog's crate. It reminds them of the smell of the mama dog. You can get it at any pet store for about $30. You can usually order them online for a little less. Check out OnlyNaturalPets.com. They have a wonderful spray called "Pet Calming Spray." It's very inexpensive and works really well. It lasts from 6 to 8 hours. Debby ... View related article. |

| RE: Bugs in the Pancake Mix |
I was bothered with these at one time. I tried everything, bay leaves, spearmint gum sticks, etc. What finally worked for me was this: I threw out everything that had grain in it, all my flours, corn meal, cereal, etc. I then vacuumed the cabinets out using a crevice tool for the corners. Next, I washed them out thoroughly with soap and warm water. That was the end of them and they never came back! ... View related article. |

| RE: Transplanting a Trumpet Vine |
|
I have never had a problem with my trumpet vine not growing. It is the most aggressive thing I've ever seen. It flowers profusely. I have mine in mostly shade. I found that it is not easily moved. If you do not completely get all the root, it will grow back. It also sends up shoots all around it. So, just be sure where you plant it is where you want it permanently. ... View related article. |

| RE: Remedies for Bug Bites |

I just read this somewhere. I thought it was here on ThriftyFun, but maybe not. I haven't tried it yet, but everyone was raving about how well it worked. Put scotch tape over them. Some said wipe with ammonia first, others just the tape. Everyone said how wonderful and fast it was! ... View related article. |
